«Սենսացիոն երևույթների պակաս չկա, ընդ որում, տաղտկալի ու արհեստական, անհետաքրքիր, օրինակ՝ ոչինչ չորոշող կադրային տեղաշարժերի վերաբերյալ հարցերի կողքին կան այնպիսիք, որ, իրոք, գերկարևոր են, ասենք՝ ՍԴ-ում քննարկումները, անասելի չափերի հասած ծառայամտությունն իր անթույլատրելի դրսևորումներով, անհասկանալի գնային խաղերը և այլն։ Սակայն ցավալին այն է, որ ոչ միայն այդ, այլև երրորդական «իրադարձությունները» ունակ եղան մոռացնել տալու գերխնդիրը, հարցերի հարցը՝ ադրբեջանցին մեր տարածքում է և բացահայտ հայտարարում է, որ կամենում է, որպեսզի կամավոր հանձնեն իբր թե իրեն օրինական պատկանող տարածքներ, և որպեսզի տարընթերցումներ չլինեն՝ քարտեզներ են դրել շրջանառության մեջ։ Դե կարևորը «խաղաղություն» լինի ու խոստացված «ապագան»։
Ադրբեջանական աղբյուրները իմպերատիվ հայտարարում են, որ կարող են անարգել վերցնել տարածքները, սակայն կամենում են, որ դա տեղի ունենա «խաղաղ ու փոխշահավետ բանակցությունների» միջոցով։ Գործնականում այդպես են կամենում, որովետև չեն ուզում միջազգային կառույցների կողմից ավելորդ ուշադրության արժանանալ, թեպետ՝ դրան էլ են պատրաստ։ Մենք ինչի՞ ենք պատրաստ, մամուլն է անգամ հոգնել այդ հարցի լուսաբանումից, արդեն հետաքրքի՞ր չէ ...»:
