Հանրահայտ Bugatti Veyron ավտոմեքենան համարվում է աշխարհում ամենաթանկը: Մինչև SSC Ultimate Aero 6.3 ավտոմեքենայի հայտնվելը, որի առավելագույն արագությունը 443 կմ/ժամ է, Bugatti Veyron- ը նաև հանդիսացել է ամենաարագընթաց ավտոմեքենան և ունակ է եղել զարգացնել մինչև 431 կմ/ժամ արագություն: Ավտոմեքենան անվանակոչվել է Պիեռ Վեյրոն անունով հայտնի մրցարշավորդի անունով: Հենց նա է 1939 թվականին Le Mans- ում կայացած մրցավազքում կարողացել հաղթել Bugatti 57 C մոդելի ավտոմեքենայով: Bugatti Veyron- ի ստեղծման պատմությունն սկսվել է մի շարք անհաջող իրադարձություններից: Սկզբից 1999 թվականին Տոկիոյի ավտոսրահում տեղի ունեցած ցուցահանդեսում նոր ստեղծած Bugatti Veyron ավտոմեքենան լիակատար ձախողվել է:

Բանն այն է, որ քննադատները և հասարակությունը միաձայն կարծիք են հայտնել, որ չնայած Bugatti Veyron- ը հանդիսանում է մրցարշավային ավտոմեքենա, բայց ներսում այն ավելի շքեղ է, քան ցանկացած այլ սպորտային ավտոմեքենա, ընդ որում, հաշվի առնելով այն փաստը, որ տեխնիկական բնութագրերը լավագույնը չեն: Բայց դժվարությունները չեն կանգնեցրել Bugatti Veyron- ի նախագծողներին: Արդյունքում 2001 թվականին Ժնևի ավտոցուցահանդեսում նրանք ներկայացրել են Bugatti EB 16/4 Veyron մոդելը՝ նոր փոփոխություններով: Մեքենայի տեխնիկական կողմն ամբողջությամբ է շտկվել, ինչն էլ բերել է այդ ավտոմեքենայի հատուկ հաջողությանը: Ավտոմեքենան արդեն կարող էր զարգացնել հարյուր կիլոմետր արագություն ընդամենը 3 վայրկյանում, իսկ առավելագույն արագությունը դարձել էր 407 կմ/ժամ:

Փոխվել էր նաև արտաքին տեսքը, որը տպավորել էր շատերին՝ սպորտային թափք և նաև ներքին հարդարանքի արդիականացում: Չնայած այն բանին, որ նոր ավտոմեքենան ստացել էր միայն դրական գնահատականներ, այնուամենայնիվ, Bugatti Veyron- ի սերիական արտադրությունը սկսվել է միայն 2005 թվականին: Դա տեղի է ունեցել ընկերության ներքին կազմակերպչական որոշակի փոփոխությունների պատճառով և չի վերաբերվել միայն ավտոմեքենայի որակին: Bugatti Veyron-ի պատմության մեջ որոշակի հետք են թողել նաև էքսկլ յուզիվ մոդելները, օրինակ՝ Bugatti Veyron Pur Sang-ը («մաքրարյուն»): Այդ անվանումն ամբողջովին արդարացված է. փայլուն ադամանդափայլ թափք, ածխի գույնի ներքին հարդարում:

Ընդհանուր առմամբ, արտադրվել է այդ մոդելի 5 մեքենա, որոնցից յուրաքանչյուրի արժեքը եղել է 1 400 000 եվրո: Բայց, չնայած նման գնին, 24 ժամվա ընթացքում բոլոր հինգ օրինակները գտել են իրենց տերերին: Իսկ Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport L'Or Blanc մոդելը թողարկվել է մեկ օրինակով, որի թափքը պատրաստված է ճենապակյա ծածկույթի օգտագործմամբ: Volkswagen ավտոկոնցեռնի՝ Bugatti մոդելների վերջին նորույթը սպորտային մոդել է, որը կոչվում է Bugatti Veyron Super Sport: Չնայած Bugatti ավտոմեքենաներն ունեն անհավանական բարձր գներ, շատերն են ցանկանում գնել դրանցից, իսկ դա ապացույց է, որ Bugatti Veyron մեքենաները պահանջարկ ունեն, ինչը լավագույն բնութագրիչն է ցանկացած ընկերության համար:
