Միջերկրածովյան երկրները բախվել են անոմալ շոգ եղանակի հետ, առանձին տարածաշրջաններում սահմանվել են ջերմաստիճանային ռեկորդներ, տեղեկացնում է «Արմենպրես»-ը:
Տապը հաստատվել է, մասնավորապես, Ֆրանսիայում, Իսպանիայում, Իտալիայում: Սիցիլիայում նախօրյակին օդի ջերմաստիճանը բարձրացել է ըստ Ցելսիուսի մինչև 48,8 աստիճան, նշում է La Repubblica թերթը: Եթե Օդերևութաբանության համաշխարհային կազմակերպությունը հաստատի այս տվյալները, ապա սա կլինի ամենաբարձր ջերմաստիճանը, որը երբևիցե գրանցվել է Եվրոպայում: Եվրոպայի նախորդ ջերմաստիճանային ռեկորդը՝ 48 աստիճան, 1977 թվականին գրանցվել է Աթենքում:
Շոգ եղանակն անտառային հրդեհների է հանգեցրել Իտալիայի մի շարք տարածաշրջաններում, ինչպես նաև Հունաստանում ու Թուրքիայում: Աֆրիկյան երկրներում նույնպես անոմալ ջերմաստիճաններ են գրանցվում: Թունիսի Քայրուան քաղաքում օգոստոսի 11-ին օդի ջերմաստիճանը բարձրացել Է ըստ Ցելսիուսի մինչեւ 50,3 աստիճանի: Սա ռեկորդային ցուցանիշ է երկրի համար, այն նաև համադրելի է աֆրիկյան ջերմաստիճանային ռեկորդի՝ 2018 թվականին Ալժիրում գրանցված 51,3 աստիճանի հետ:
Ալժիրում օգոստոսի 12-ին ըստ Ցելսիուսի 47 աստիճան են սպասում Բաթնայում, Թուգգուրթում և Բիսկրայում: Երկրի հյուսիսում մոլեգնում են անտառային հրդեհները, որոնց պատճառով, օգոստոսի 11-ի տվյալներով, մահացել Է 65 մարդ: Մարոկոյում կանխատեսում են, որ հանգստյան օրերին օդի ջերմաստիճանը կհասնի 49 աստիճանի, հաղորդել է «Ինտերֆաքս»-ը:
