Թեպետ իշխանությունը հայտարարել է 44-օրյա պատերազմի հանգամանքներն ուսումնասիրող քննիչ հանձնաժողով ձեւավորելու մասին, սակայն հայտնի չէ, թե այն երբ կձեւավորվի։ Փաշինյանը ցանկանում է հնարավորինս լայն ֆորմատ ստեղծել՝ ընդգրկել նաեւ արտախորհրդարանական ուժերի, զոհված եւ անհետ կորածների հարազատներին։ Նպատակը մեկն է՝ հնարավորինս մեծ թվով յուրայիններ ընդգրկել, որպեսզի ամեն ինչ շուռ տան նախկինների վրա։ Սակայն օրենքը թույլ չի տալիս նման ֆորմատ՝ հստակ ասում է, որ այդ նպատակին կարող է ծառայել ԱԺ պաշտպանության մշտական հանձնաժողովը։
Բացի այդ՝ ցանկացած մեկը չի կարող հաղորդակցվել պետական գաղտնիք պարունակող տեղեկատվության հետ, իսկ հանձնաժողովի անդամները հատուկ փաստաթուղթ են ստորագրում՝ պարտավորվելով պետական գաղտնիքներ չհրապարակել։ Ի դեպ, պաշտպանության հանձնաժողովն էր քննում ապրիլյանի դեպքերը, սակայն մեկուկես տարվա աշխատանքից հետո զեկույց չհրապարակվեց։ Մեր աղբյուրների փոխանցմամբ՝ այժմ Փաշինյանը հանձնարարել է ուղիներ փնտրել օրենքը շրջանցելու, որ լայն ֆորմատի հանձնաժողով ձեւավորվի։
