Սեպտեմբերի 12-ին նշանակված Փաստաբանների պալատի նախագահի ընտրությունները խոստանում են բավականին դրամատիկ լինել։ Ճիշտ է, իշխանություններին ընդդիմադիր Արա Զոհրաբյանն այս անգամ չի առաջադրվելու՝ օրենքը չի թույլատրում երրորդ անգամ առաջադրվել, սակայն պալատն իր թեկնածուն ունի՝ Փաստաբանների դպրոցի տնօրեն Սիմոն Բաբայան։ Իշխանությունը, բնականաբար, դեմ է Բաբայանին եւ այս պահի դրությամբ մտադիր է անցկացնել Գեւորգ Գյոզալյանին, հնարավոր է մինչ ընտրությունները այլ թեկնածու առաջադրեն, որն ավելի մեծ շանսեր կունենա։ Ամեն դեպքում, ամեն ինչ անելու են, որպեսզի Բաբայանը չանցնի։ Սակայն դա հեշտ չի լինելու, քանզի Հայաստանում 2 հազար 200 փաստաբան կա, եւ նրանք իրենց ժողովում են որոշում նախագահի հարցը։ Ընդ որում, սա հայաստանյան ամենակայացած համայնքներից է, եւ այն «նվաճելը» հեշտ չէ։

Բոլոր դեպքերում, մեր տեղեկություններով, Փաստաբանների պալատին մեսիջներ են ուղղվում իշխանական կաբինետներից։ Ուղիղ տեքստով սպառնում են՝ եթե թույլ չտան, որ իրենց ուզած մարդն ընտրվի, պալատը կպառակտեն՝ մի քանի պալատներ կստեղծեն, որոնք կվերացնեն այս համայնքի միասնականությունը եւ հնարավորություն կտան հնազանդեցնել փաստաբաններին։ Երկրորդ սպառնալիքն ուղղվում է Փաստաբանների դպրոցին․ սպառնում են դպրոցը հանել պալատի տնօրինությունից եւ միացնել Արդարադատության ակադեմիայի հետ, եւ այդ դեպքում փաստաբաններին լիցենզիա տալու հնարավորությունը կանցնի պետությանը։ Փաստաբաններն առայժմ դիմադրում են։ Արդյունքը կերեւա սեպտեմբերի 12-ին։
