Ալեն Սիմոնյանի գլխավորած պատվիրակությունը սեպտեմբերի 6-9-ը աշխատանքային եռօրյա այցով մասնակցելու է Վիեննայում կայանալիք Խորհրդարանների նախագահների 5-րդ համաշխարհային համաժողովին և Ահաբեկչության դեմ պայքարի առաջին գլոբալ խորհրդարանական գագաթնաժողովին:

Համաժողովի աշխատանքները պաշտոնապես մեկնարկելու են սեպտեմբերի 7-ին՝ պանելային քննարկումների ձևաչափով և հագեցած օրակարգով:

Համաժողովում սահմանված օրակարգի առաջնահերթությունների առանցքում մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանությանն ու դրանց լիարժեք իրացմանն առնչվող հարցերի վերհանումն է: Այս համատեքստում անդրադարձ է կատարվելու «Կայուն զարգացման հասնելը պահանջում է ավելի շատ ուշադրություն դարձնել մարդու բարեկեցությանը և շրջակա միջավայրի պահպանությանը, քան՝ տնտեսական զարգացմանը», «Կանանց և աղջիկների նկատմամբ խտրականություն սահմանող օրենքների չեղարկումը գենդերային հավասարության հասնելու միակ ճանապարհն է» խորագրերով թեմաներին:

Գործընկերներն անդրադառնալու են «Խորհրդարանի բաց լինելը թափանցիկություն ու հասանելիություն ընդդեմ անվտանգության. Ինչպես հասնել հավասարակշռության» ընդհանրական խորագիր կրող հարցերին՝ լավագույն փորձի վերհանման նպատակով:

Համաժողովի օրակարգում է նաև հակահամաճարակային միասնական մարտահրավերների հաղթահարման նառնչվող միջխորհրդարանական փորձի փոխանակումը: Նախատեսված է քննարկել  «COVID-19 համավարակին գլոբալ արձագանքը մարտահրավեր է նետում մարդկանց համար ցանկալի արդյունքի հասնելուն՝ բազմակողմանի հարաբերությունների կարողությունը», «Ժողովրդավարության վրա COVID-19 համավարակի ազդեցության մեղմացումը» վերտառությամբ հարցեր: Օրակարգում ընդգրկված է նաև Միջխորհրդարանական միության և Ատոմային էներգիայի միջազգային գործակալության հարակից միջոցառումը:

Սեպտեմբերի 9-ին կայանալիք՝ Ահաբեկչության դեմ պայքարի առաջին գլոբալ խորհրդարանական գագաթնաժողովին ելույթով հանդես կգա ՀՀ ԱԺ նախագահ ԱլենՍիմոնյանը՝ ներկայացնելով ահաբեկչությունից տուժածների իրավունքների ու կարիքների ուսումնասիրությունը և անդրադառնալով տուժածներին՝ պատգամավորների կողմից վերաինտեգրման հարցում ցուցաբերվելիք օգնությանը:

Խորհրդարանների նախագահների 5-րդ համաշխարհային համաժողովի կազմակերպիչներն են Միջխորհրդարանական միությունը, Միացյալ ազգերի կազմակերպությունը, Ավստրիայի խորհրդարանը:
