ԱՄՆ-ն հրապարակել է սեպտեմբերի 11-ի ահաբեկչության արխիվային լուսանկարներ, որոնց մեծ մասը ոչ ոք երբեք չի տեսել։

Հիշեցնենք, որ ուղիղ 20 տարի առաջ՝ 2001 թվականի սեպտեմբերի 11-ին, տեղի ունեցավ Միացյալ Նահանգների պատմության մեջ ամենասարսափելի և խոշոր ահաբեկչությունը, որը ցնցեց ամբողջ աշխարհը։

Այդ օրը «Ալ-Քաիդա» խմբավորման ահաբեկիչները գրավել էին չորս մարդատար ինքնաթիռ։ Դրանցից առաջինը մխրճվեց Նյու Յորքում Առեւտրի համաշխարհային կենտրոնի հյուսիսային, իսկ երկրորդը՝ Հարավային Աշտարակի մեջ, ինչը հանգեցրեց երկու երկնաքերների հետագա փլուզմանը: Երրորդ ինքնաթիռը մխրճվեց Պենտագոնի շենքի մեջ, իսկ չորրորդը, որի ուղևորները փորձել են դիմադրություն ցույց տալ ահաբեկիչներին, ընկել է Փիթսբուրգից ոչ հեռու՝ Փենսիլվանիա նահանգում:

Հարձակման հետեւանքով զոհվեց 2977 մարդ, Վաշինգտոնում` 189, Փենսիլվանիայում` 44։ Հազարավոր մարդիկ վիրավորվեցին:
