Արցախի Հանրապետության նախագահ Արայիկ Հարությունյանը սեպտեմբերի 11-ին ստորագրել է հրամանագիր գեներալ-մայոր Կամո Բահատուրի Վարդանյանին Արցախի Հանրապետության պաշտպանության նախարար-պաշտպանության բանակի հրամանատար նշանակելու մասին:

Այս մասին տեղեկացնում են Արցախի Հանրապետության նախագահի աշխատակազմի տեղեկատվության գլխավոր վարչությունից:

Կամո Բահատուրի Վարդանյանը ծնվել է 1966թ. մարտի 18-ին, Մարտունու շրջանի Նորշեն գյուղում:

Սովորել է Մարտունու շրջանի Նորշեն գյուղի միջնակարգ դպրոցում: 2006թ. ավարտել է ՌԴ ԶՈւ համազորային ակադեմիան: 2019թ. ավարտել է ՌԴ ԶՈւ ԳՇ ռազմական ակադեմիան:

1992թ. փետրվարի 1-ից ծառայում է ԱՀ ՊԲ-ում:

1992-2012թթ. ՊԲ տարբեր զորամասերում զբաղեցրել է մի շարք հրամանատարական պաշտոններ` դասակի հրամանատար, վաշտի հրամանատարի տեղակալ, գումարտակի հրամանատարի տեղակալ-շտաբի պետ, գումարտակի հրամանատար, զորամասի հրամանատարի տեղակալ, զորամասի հրամանատար, միավորման հրամանատարի տեղակալ-շտաբի պետ:

2007-2012 թթ. եղել է  ՊԲ լեռնահրաձգային միավորման հրամանատար:

2012թ. նոյեմբերի 12-ին ԱՀ նախագահի հրամանագրով նշանակվել է ՊԲ հրամանատարի առաջին տեղակալ-շտաբի պետ:

2011թ. մայիսի 6-ին ԱՀ նախագահի հրամանագրով նրան շնորհվել է գեներալ-մայորի զինվորական կոչում:

Մասնակցել է  1992-1994, 2016 և 2020 թթ. մարտական գործողություններին:

Պարգևատրվել է ԱՀ  «Մարտական խաչ» 2-րդ աստիճանի շքանշանով, ՀՀ «Արիություն» մեդալով, ՀՀ «Վարդան Մամիկոնյան» շքանշանով, ՀՀ «Հայրենիքին մատուցած ծառայությունների համար» 1-ին աստիճանի մեդալով, ԱՀ «Արիության համար» և այլ պետական ու գերատեսչական մեդալներով:

Ամուսնացած է, ունի երկու դուստր և մեկ որդի:
