Սեպտեմբերի 15-ին ՀՀ Ազգային ժողովի նախագահ Ալեն Սիմոնյանն ընդունեց ՀՀ-ում Հնդկաստանի արտակարգ եւ լիազոր դեսպան Կիշան Դան Դեւալին: Այս մասին հայտնում է ԱԺ աշխատակազմը:

Ողջունելով դեսպանին՝ ԱԺ նախագահը նշեց, որ Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունը բարձր է գնահատում բարեկամական հարաբերությունների խորացումն ու զարգացումը: Անդրադառնալով երկու երկրների միջեւ համագործակցության խորացմանը՝ Ալեն Սիմոնյանը տեղեկացրեց, որ Ազգային ժողովում շուտով կվերաձեւավորվի հայ-հնդկական բարեկամական խումբը, որը նշանակալի դեր կունենա միջխորհրդարանական համագործակցության ընդլայնման գործում:

ԱԺ նախագահը հույս հայտնեց, որ Հնդկաստանի խորհրդարանում Հնդկաստան-Հայաստան բարեկամական խմբի ձեւավորումը եւս հնարավորություն կստեղծի համատեղ ջանքերով էլ ավելի խորացնելու օրենսդիրների կապերը:

Կարեւորելով միջազգային հարթակներում Հայաստանի եւ Հնդկաստանի միջեւ դրական համագործակցությունը՝ ՀՀ օրենսդիրի ղեկավարը բարձր գնահատեց միջազգային կազմակերպություններում Հայաստանի կենսական հարցերի շուրջ Հնդկաստանի կառավարության հավասարակշռված մոտեցումը:

Կողմերն անդրադարձան տարածաշրջանային անվտանգության հարցերին: Այս համատեքստում հայկական կողմն արժեւորեց պաշտոնական Նյու Դելիի մոտեցումն առ այն, որ ղարաբաղյան հակամարտությունը պետք է ստանա խաղաղ հանգուցալուծում՝ ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահության շրջանակներում:

Շնորհակալություն հայտնելով ընդունելության համար՝ Հնդկաստանի դեսպանը բարձր գնահատեց միջազգային հարթակներում Քաշմիրի խնդրի խաղաղ կարգավորմանն առնչվող Հայաստանի մշտական աջակցությունը: Համատեղ օրակարգի առաջնահերթություններում փոխայցելությունները դիտվեցին որպես առաջնահերթություն՝ ի նպաստ երկկողմ համագործակցության նոր հեռանկարային ուղղությունների:
