Ազգային ժողովի «Քաղաքացիական պայմանագիր» խմբակցությունը սարսափած է Արթուր Ղազինյանին Պաշտպանության և անվտանգության հարցերի հանձնաժողովի փոխնախագահ ընտրելու հեռանկարից։ Իշխանական պատգամավորներն արդեն երեք անգամ ձախողել են Ղազինյանի ընտրությունը, և պատրաստվում են անհամար անգամներ դեմ քվեարկել «Հայաստան» դաշինքի թեկնածուին։ Ավելին, մասնավոր զրույցներում իշխանականները նշում են, թե պատրաստ են հանձնաժողովի փոխնախագահ ընտրել ցանկացած թեկնածուի, միայն ոչ Արթուր Ղազինյանին։ Հանձնաժողովի նիստերում իշխանական պատգամավորները՝ Անդրանիկ Քոչարյանի գլխավորությամբ, տարբեր պատճառաբանություններ են բերում, հիշում Ղազինյանի ֆեյսբուքյան գրառումները, վարչապետի ուղղությամբ շշի պատահական նետումը, այլ հանգամանքներ։ Գրեթե նույն քննադատությունը հնչեցնում են նաև «Հայաստան» դաշինքի մյուս պատգամավորները ևս։

Օրեր առաջ Հանրայինի եթերում Անդրանիկ Քոչարյանը բաց տեքստով ազդարարեց, որ կընտրեն ցանկացած ընդդիմադիրի, բայց ոչ Ղազինյանին։ Պատճառը իհարկե քննադատությունը չէ, այլ իրավաբան գիտնականի փաստարկված խոսքը, որից իշխանության մեջ դողում են։ Արթուր Ղազինյանը միակն էր, որ պատերազմից հետո կոչ արեց Գլխավոր դատախազին կալանավորել Նիկոլ Փաշինյանին, անգամ այդ հարցը տվել էր Արթուր Դավթյանին, ներկայացրել պետական դավաճանության հիմքերը։ Այժմ, իշխանությունը գիտակցում է, որ Ղազինյանի ձեռքում որևէ լրացուցիչ լծակ, այն էլ 44-օրյա պատերազմի հանգամանքները քննող հանձնաժողովում, կարող է լուրջ խնդիրներ առաջացնել Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի համար։ Հանձնաժողովը դեմ չէ աշխատել առանց փոխնախագահի, միայն թե չընտրի Արթուր Ղազինյանին։
