Սեպտեմբերի 16-ին ՀՀ Ազգային ժողովի նախագահ Ալեն Սիմոնյանն ընդունեց ՀՀ-ում Իրանի Իսլամական Հանրապետության արտակարգ եւ լիազոր դեսպան Աբբաս Բադախշան Զոհուրիին: Այս մասին հայտնում է ԱԺ աշխատակազմը:
Ողջունելով հյուրին՝ ԱԺ նախագահն ընդգծեց, որ Հայաստանի համար Իրանի հետ հարաբերությունները ռազմավարական նշանակություն ունեն: Նա նշեց, որ հարյուրամյակների բարեկամությունը եւ երկու ժողովուրդների խաղաղասիրությունը յուրօրինակ կամուրջ են ՀՀ-ի եւ Իրանի միջեւ: Հայաստան-Իրան փոխգործակցության արդյունքում ձեւավորված ակտիվ քաղաքական երկխոսությունն ամուր հիմք եւ երաշխիք է բոլոր ոլորտներում միջպետական համագործակցության շարունակական զարգացման ու ամրապնդման համար: Ալեն Սիմոնյանն ընդգծեց, որ մեր երկիրը ձգտում է պահպանել եւ առավել ամրապնդել քաղաքական ու տնտեսական ոլորտների երկխոսության եւ առեւտրային համագործակցության շարունակական աճը: Այս իմաստով խորհրդարանի ղեկավարն ուշադրություն հրավիրեց հատկապես այն փաստի վրա, որ 2020 թվականի ընթացքում, չնայած COVID-19-ի տարածմանը եւ դրա բացասական հետեւանքներին, հայ-իրանական առեւտրաշրջանառությունը լրջագույն փոփոխությունների չի ենթարկվել, իսկ արտահանումը նույնիսկ որոշ չափով աճել է: Ալեն Սիմոնյանը նկատեց նաեւ, որ Հայաստանում իրանական ներդրումների եւ Իրանում հայկական ներդրումների ցուցանիշները փաստում են, որ հայ-իրանական առեւտրատնտեսական հարաբերությունների ներուժը չի իրացվում իր ողջ ծավալով: Հայկական կողմի տեսանկյունից Իրանը վստահելի ընկեր եւ լավ հարեւան է: Ալեն Սիմոնյանը կարեւորեց հայ-իրանական փոխգործակցությունը տարածաշրջանային ռազմավարական ենթակառուցվածքների զարգացման գործում, ինչպես նաեւ տարածաշրջանային ռազմաքաղաքական անվտանգային հարցերում:
Անդրադարձ եղավ Գորիս-Կապան միջպետական ճանապարհի Որոտան բնակավայրի մոտակայքում տիրող իրավիճակի լուծման աշխատանքներին:
Շնորհակալություն հայտնելով ընդունելության համար՝ դեսպանը փաստեց, որ զգալի է հայկական մշակութային ժառանգության դերը իրանցիների կյանքում, իսկ հայկական համայնքը բավականին ակտիվ եւ ընդգրկուն է ներկայացված Իրանում:
Կողմերն անդրադարձան երկկողմ փոխշահավետ համագործակցության հիմքերի ամրապնդման գործում միջխորհրդարանական համագործակցության դերին: Այս համատեքստում մեծապես կարեւորվեց պատգամավորական բարեկամական խմբերի գործունեությունը:
