Բրիտանացի ներդրող Ջերեմի Գրենթեմը նոր տնտեսական ճգնաժամ է կանխատեսել Միացյալ Նահանգների համար` ավելի մեժ, քան Մեծ դեպրեսիան էր: Միլիարդատերն իր կանխատեսման մասին հայտարարել է CNBC-ին տված հարցազրույցում, նյութից հատվածներ մեջբերում է MarketWatch-ը:

Գրենթեմը պատմել է, որ ԱՄՆ ֆոնդային շուկայում «էլ ավելի խելագար փուչիկ» է ձեւավորել, քան 1929 թվականին, երբ ֆոնդային շուկան մի քանի տարի շարունակ աճում էր, իսկ հետո փլուզվեց, ինչից հետո տնտեսության մեջ ռեցեսիա սկսվեց, որը հայտնի է որպես Մեծ դեպրեսիա: Այս ժամանակաշրջանը բնութագրվում է Միացյալ Նահանգների ՀՆԱ-ի անկմամբ` 1929 թվականի 103.9 միլիարդ դոլարից մինչեւ 56 միլիարդ դոլար 1933 թվականին, եւ արդյունաբերական արտադրանքի 40 տոկոս անկմամբ: Այդ ժամանակ գործազրկության մակարդակը հասավ 25 տոկոսի: «Այս փուչիկն ամենամեծն է ԱՄՆ պատմության մեջ: Անշարժ գույքի, պարտատոմսերի, բաժնետոմսերի եւ ապրանքների գները գերագնահատված են»,- ամփոփել է ներդրողը:

Նա հայտարարել է, որ ներկայիս փուչիկն ավելի մեծ է, «դոթքոմերի փուչիկը», որը շուկայում գոյություն ուներ մոտավորապես 1995-2001 թվականներին: Այդ ժամանակ անհավանական ժողովրդականություն ձեռք բերեցին ինտերնետային ընկերությունների բաժնետոմսերը, որոնց դոմենը, որպես կանոն, ավարտվում էր .com-ով («դոթքոմ»): Բաժնետոմսերի արժեքի արագ աճին չխանգարեցին նաեւ բազմաթիվ տեխնոլոգիական ընկերությունների` վնասով աշխատելու մասին հաղորդագրությունները: Երբ փուչիկը պայթեց, ներդրողները մոտ 5 տրիլիոն դոլար կորցրեցին:

Ներդրողը «փուչիկի» մասին նախազգուշացրել էր դեռ 2020 թվականի հունիսին: Շուկայի այսօրվա մասնակիցները վաղուց անտեսում են ցանկացած վատ լուր, սակայն փուչիկը, ըստ Գրենթեմի, կպայթի առաջիկա ամիսներին, եւ դա կարող է տեղի ունենալ «ցանկացած պահի»: Նրա խոսքով՝ շուկան վամպիրի պես կանգուն կմնա որոշ ժամանակ, սակայն փլուզումն անխուսափելի է: Այդ ժամանակ S&P 500 ինդեքսը (որը կազմված է ԱՄՆ ֆոնդային բորսաներում գրանցված 500 խոշորագույն ընկերություններից) կփլուզվի 10 տոկոսով կամ ավելի: 2021 թվականին S&P 500-ը նախորդ տարվա համեմատ աճել է ավելի քան 30 տոկոսով:

«Շուկան այնքան լավատես է, որ նույնիսկ եթե տվյալները դեմ են դրան, ինչպես այսօր է, շուկան դրան ուշադրություն չի դարձնում»,- դժգոհել է Գրենթեմը: Նա նշել է, որ ներդրողներն անտեսում են տոկոսադրույքների բարձրացումը, Դաշնային պահուստային համակարգի կողմից պարտատոմսերի գնումների կրճատումները եւ գնաճի աճը: Շուկայի մասնակիցներին չի անհանգստացնում նաեւ ճնշումը կորպորացիաների շահույթի վրա:
