Ճանապարհը վրաց-ռուսական սահմանի ուղղությամբ փակ է մեծ բեռնատարների համար ձյան առատ տեղումների պատճառով, ասվում է Վրաստանի տարածաշրջանային զարգացման եւ ենթակառուցվածքի նախարարության ավտոճանապարհների դեպարտամենտի հաղորդագրությունում։
Մասնավորապես, կցորդիչով եւ կիսակցորդիչով մեքենաների համար արգելքը գործում է Մցխեթ-Ստեփանծմինդա-Լարս կենտրոնական մայրուղու Գուդաուրի-Կոբի տեղամասում։
Տրանսպորտի մյուս տեսակների համար երթեւեկությունն ազատ է։
Ավտոճանապարհների դեպարտամենտն անընդհատ ռեժիմով մաքրում է ճանապարհները, որպեսզի ամենակարճ ժամկետում լիովին վերականգնի հաղորդակցությունը։
Մցխեթ-Ստեփանծմինդա-Լարս ավտոմայրուղին, այսպես կոչված Ռազմավիրական ճանապարհը, այսօրվա դրությամբ միակ ցամաքային ճանապարհն է, որը Վրաստանն ու Հայաստանը կապում է Ռուսաստանի հետ։ Իսկ «Կազբեգի»-«Վերին Լարս» անցակետն այսօրվա դրությամբ միակ գործող անցակետն է Վրաստանի եւ Ռուսաստանի ցամաքային սահմանին։
Վրաստանի ցամաքային սահմանները, որոնք օտարերկրացիների համար փակ են կորոնավիրուսի համավարակի պատճառով 2020թ. մարտից, բաց են միայն բեռնափոխադրողների եւ Վրաստանի՝ հայրենիք վերադարձող քաղաքացիների համար։
