Մահապատժի դատապարտված մարդասպանի նամակն անհարմար դրության մեջ է դրել բոլորին
SOCIETY61-ամյա Էռնեստ Լի Ջոնսոնը իր կյանքի գրեթե կեսն անցկացրել է ճաղերի հետևում: 1994 թվականին նա հարձակվել էր ԱՄՆ-ի Հարավային Կարոլինա քաղաքում իր տան մոտ գտնվող խանութի վրա: Նա ծայրահեղ դաժանությամբ սպանել էր երեք մարդու և նրանց մարմինները թաքցրել սառնարանում: Այնուհետեւ Ջոնսոնը գողացել էր դրամարկղում եղած գումարը եւ ծախսել թմրանյութերի վրա: Նա շուտով ձերբակալվել էր և մահապատժի դատապարտվել:
27 տարի անց պատիժը, միևնույնն է, ի կատար ածվեց, գրում է Lad Bible-ը: Մինչ այդ հանցագործին թույլատրվել էր պատվիրել վերջին ընթրիք. նա ընտրել էր համբուրգերներ, կարտոֆիլի ֆրի և երկու կաթնային կոկտեյլ: Իսկ հետո նա նամակ էր թողել, որի պատճառով շատերն իրենց անհարմար զգացին:
«Շատ եմ ցավում, որ նման բան եմ արել: Ես սիրում եմ իմ բոլոր ընկերներին և ընտանիքին: Շնորհակալություն փաստաբաններին այն ամենի համար, ինչ նրանք արել են: Ես զգացի նրանց սերը, կարծես իրենց համար թանկ էի: Բոլոր նրանց, ովքեր աղոթում էին ինձ համար, ես ուզում եմ շնորհակալություն հայտնել: Եթե ինձ մահապատժի ենթարկեն, ես գիտեմ, թե ուր եմ գնալու՝ դրախտ: Քանի որ ես Նրանից ներում խնդրեցի: Տերը սիրում է բոլորին» ,- գրել էր Ջոնսոնը:
Նշվում է, որ շատ կազմակերպություններ և նույնիսկ Հռոմի Պապը փորձել են հանցագործին փրկել մահապատժից, և այդ ամենը Ջոնսոնի հիվանդության պատճառով: Նա ծնվել է պտղի ալկոհոլային սինդրոմով, որը ի հայտ է գալիս, երբ մայրը հղիության ընթացքում ալկոհոլ է օգտագործում: Սա սպառնում է ֆիզիկական և մտավոր թերություններով, որոնց թվում կան զայրույթի վերահսկման և մտավոր հետամնացության հետ կապված խնդիրներ: Նման մարդկանց ամբողջ կյանքում պետք է ուղեկցեն սոցիալական աշխատողներ և բժիշկներ: Իսկ այն բանից հետո, երբ 2008 թվականին ուռուցքի պատճառով Ջոնսոնից հեռացվեց ուղեղի մի մասը, նա վերածվեց երեխայի:
