Մոսկվայի և Համայն Ռուսիո պատրիարք Կիրիլը Դանիլովի վանքում եռակողմ հանդիպում է սկսել Ամենայն Հայոց կաթողիկոս Գարեգին Երկրորդի և Կովկասի մահմեդականների վարչության նախագահ շեյխ-ուլ-Իսլամ Ալլահշուքուր Փաշազադեի հետ:
Հանդիպմանը նա կողմերին կոչ է արել միանշանակ համատեղ պատասխան տալ կրոնը պատերազմի հետ կապելու «փորձերին»:
Ինչպես գրում է «ՌԻԱ Նովոստի»-ն, չորեքշաբթի այս մասին հայտնել է պատրիարքի մամուլի ծառայությունը:
«Մենք հավաքվել ենք այստեղ՝ քննարկելու Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի երկարաժամկետ հակամարտության խնդիրը ... Հուսով եմ, որ դուք և ես կգտնենք այն ճիշտ բառերը, որոնք մեր ժողովուրդներին ամենից շատ անհրաժեշտ են: Կարծում եմ, որ Ադրբեջանի և Հայաստանի հոգևոր առաջնորդների հեղինակությունը կարող է բարերար ազդեցություն ունենալ մարդկանց մտքերի վրա, և ես հավատում եմ, որ այսօրվա հանդիպման և ձեր միջև երկխոսության փաստը, օրինակ կդառնա բոլորի համար»,-ասել է պատրիարք Կիրիլը:
Նրա խոսքով՝ կան մարդիկ, որոնք բռնությունը, դաժանությունն ու արյունահեղությունը արդարացնում են կրոնով:
«Մենք կոչված ենք միանշանակ համատեղ պատասխան տալ կրոնը պատերազմի հետ կապելու փորձերին: Կրոնական պատերազմները մարդկության կրոնական պատմության սարսափելի մեղսավոր էջն են: Այս դարում, կարծում եմ, մենք պետք է ամեն ինչ անենք, որպեսզի «կրոն» և «պատերազմ» հասկացությունները չմիաձուլվեն մեկ ամբողջության մեջ», - ասել է պատրիարք Կիրիլը:
Նա նաև ներկաների ուշադրությունը հրավիրել է երիտասարդ սերնդի նկատմամբ ընդհանուր պատասխանատվության վրա:
«Թող Աստված օրհնի մեր ջանքերը և օգնի մեզ գտնել փոխըմբռնում, որը կնպաստի երկարատև և տևական խաղաղության ձեռքբերմանը երկուսիդ համար էլ հարազատ և թանկ հին կովկասյան հողում», - եզրափակել է պատրիարք Կիրիլը:
