Օբաման 2016 թվականին ՄԱԿ-ի գագաթնաժողով կանցկացնի փախստականների հետ կապված ճգնաժամի շուրջ

ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահ Բարաք Օբաման ծրագրում Է 2016 թվականի սեպտեմբերին ՄԱԿ-ի Նյու Յորքի կենտրոնակայանում անցկացնել գագաթնաժողով՝ նվիրված փախստականների հետ կապված գլոբալ ճգնաժամին: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, դեկտեմբերի 21-ին լրագրողներին հայտարարել Է համաշխարհային կազմակերպությանն առընթեր Միացյալ Նահանգների մշտական ներկայացուցիչ Սամանթա Փաուերը՝ ամփոփելով Անվտանգության խորհրդի փակ հանդիպման արդյունքները:
«Սիրիայի հումանիտար իրադրությանը նվիրված այսօրվա նստաշրջանում ես հայտարարեցի, որ նախագահ Օբաման հաջորդ Գլխավոր ասամբլեայի բարձր մակարդակի շաբաթվա ընթացքում պլանավորում Է անցկացնել փախստականների հետ կապված գլոբալ ճգնաժամին նվիրված գագաթնաժողով»,-ասել Է դիվանագետը: Նրա խոսքով՝ հանդիպմանը կքննարկվեն նաեւ փախստականների տարաբնակեցման հարցերը, ինչպես նաեւ նրանց համար կրթությունից ու աշխատատեղերից օգտվելու հնարավորությունների ընդլայնման ուղիները:
Փաուերը նշել Է, որ Նյու Յորքում Օբամայի նախագահությամբ նիստը կհաջորդի այլ համաժողովների, որոնք կանցկացվեն աշխարհի տարբեր քաղաքներում, մասնավորապես, փետրվարին՝ դոնորների խորհրդաժողովը Լոնդոնում, մարտին՝ վերաբնակեցման հարցերի շուրջ հանդիպումը ՄԱԿ-ի կենտրոնակայանում, ինչպես նաեւ մայիսին՝ Համաշխարհային հումանիտար գագաթնաժողովն Ստամբուլում: Ինչպես նշել Է Փաուերը, այս միջոցառումները նպատակ ունեն հասնել այն բանին, որ «երկրները նոր պարտավորություններ ստանձնեն» ՄԱԿ-ի հումանիտար ջանքերին աջակցելու հարցում, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
