Եվրամիությունը չի մտածում «Պլան Բ»-ի մասին, եթե Իրանի հետ դիվանագիտությունը տապալվի: Այս մասին Վաշինգտոնում հայտարարել է ԵՄ արտաքին քաղաքականության պատասխանատու Ժոզեպ Բորելը՝ ի հակադրություն ԱՄՆ-ի հայտարարության առ այն, որ «ամեն տարբերակ» սեղանին է, գրում է mehrnews.com-ը:
«Ժամանակն է վերադառնալ բանակցությունների սեղանին: Եվ ես չեմ ուզում մտածել «Պլան Բ»-ի մասին, քանի որ իմ պատկերացրած «Պլան Բ»-ն չի կարող լավ ծրագիր լինել», - ասել է Բորելը:
Նրա այս մեկնաբանությունը հակադրվել է ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղար Էնթոնի Բլինկենի՝ երկու օր առաջ արած արտահայտություններին, թե ԱՄՆ-ն «կանդրադառնա Իրանի կողմից առաջադրված մարտահրավերներին դիմակայելու բոլոր տարբերակներին»:
Ավելի վաղ Իրանի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Ամիր Աբդոլլահիանը հայտնել է, որ միջուկային գործարքի վերականգնման շուրջ բանակցությունները՝ Թեհրանի և միջնորդ պետությունների միջև, կվերականգնվեն հինգշաբթի՝ Բրյուսելում:
Սեպտեմբերի 21-ին Իրանի ԱԳՆ խոսնակ Սաիդ Ղաթիբզադեն ասել էր, որ միջուկային գործարքի ամբողջական էֆեկտը վերականգնելու բանակցությունները Վիեննայում կվերսկսվեն մի քանի շաբաթվա ընթացքում: Երկրի նախագահ Էբրահիմ Ռայիսիի խոսքով՝ Թեհրանն ակնկալում է, որ բանակցային գործընթացը կհանգեցնի Իրանի դեմ պատժամիջոցների վերացմանը:
