Դեկտեմբերին Վանաձորի ընտրություններում մարզպետ Արամ Խաչատրյանի թեկնածության առաջադրումից ՔՊ-ն գրեթե հրաժարվել է` հասկացել են, որ կարող է Գյումրին կրկնվել, ուստի որոշել են առաջ մղել ցուցակի 2-րդ համարի թեկնածու Մանվել Ոփյանին: Նա դասախոս է, գիտությունների թեկնածու, նաեւ` բիզնեսմեն. «Արփիգազ», «Արփիտաքսի» ծառայությունների սեփականատերը եւ բավականին հեղինակություն է վայելում, այնպես որ, կկարողանա Մամիկոն Ասլանյանին լուրջ մրցակից լինել: Ոփյանին հնարավոր է աջակցի նաեւ նախկին քաղաքապետ Սամվել Դարբինյանը: Իսկ Ասլանյանը, որի փոխարեն վերջերս ապօրինաբար ԺՊ նշանակեցին, դաշինքով է մասնակցելու։ Նա բանակցել է մի շարք կուսակցությունների հետ, նախ` ՔՊ-ի, ապա Խաչատուր Քոքոբելյանի «Ազատ դեմոկրատների» հետ:

Քոքոբելյանը՝ որպես իջեւանցի, խոստացել է ապահովել Փաշինյանի չեզոքությունը, բայց չի կարողացել այնպես անել, որ Ասլանյանը մինչեւ ընտրությունները մնա ԺՊ-ի կարգավիճակում: Դաշինքը, հավանաբար, կկոչվի «Ասլանյան դաշինք», թեեւ դեռ պարզ չէ, թե որ ուժերը կմտնեն: Վանաձորի ընտրություններին կմասնակցի նաեւ «Հայրենիք» կուսակցությունը` ավագանու անդամ Վահե Դոխոյանով, որը լավ շանսեր ունի։

«Հայաստան» դաշինքը քննարկում է մշակույթի բաժնի պետ Գոռ Բադյանի եւ ՀՀԿ նախկին պատգամավոր Կարեն Սարիբեկյանի թեկնածությունները: Մարուքյանենք կառաջադրեն նախկին պատգամավոր Հրանտ Այվազյանին։ ԲՀԿ-ի թեկնածուն ԲԷՑ-ի «Հյուսիսային մասնաճյուղի» նախկին տնօրեն Էդգար Բոջուկյանն է:
