Facebook-ը շուտով կփոխի իր անունը եւ բոլոր տարբերանշանները

Այս շաբաթվա իր հոդվածներից մեկում տեխնոլոգիական The Verge կայքը տեղեկացնում է, որ Facebook-ը մտադիր է փոխել իր անվանումը:
Անվան փոփոխության մասին կհայտարարվի հաջորդ շաբաթ: Ինչպես նշվում է հոդվածում, այս քայլը, ամենայն հավանականությամբ, առաջատար այս հարթակը կդրաձնի որպես բազմաթիվ ապրանքներից մեկը մայր ընկերության ներքո, որը վերահսկում է այնպիսի ապրանքանիշեր, ինչպիսիք են Instagram-ը և WhatsApp- ը: Google-ը նման կառուցվածք ընդունեց 2015-ին, երբ վերակազմավորվեց որպես Alphabet կոչվող հոլդինգային ընկերություն:
Facebook-ի գործադիր տնօրեն Մարկ Զուքերբերգը բարձրաձայնում է metaverse-ի մասին` թվային աշխարհ, որտեղ մարդիկ կարող են տեղաշարժվել տարբեր սարքերի միջև և շփվել վիրտուալ միջավայրում: Ընկերությունը մեծ ներդրումներ է կատարել վիրտուալ իրականության և ընդլայնված իրականության մեջ:
Ընդլայնված իրականությունը, որն առաջին անգամ ստեղծվել է դիստոպիական մի վեպում երեք տասնամյակ առաջ, հայտնի է Սիլիկոնյան հովտում և վկայակոչվել է այլ տեխնոլոգիական ընկերությունների կողմից, ինչպիսիք են Microsoft-ը:
Զուքերբերգը մտադիր է խոսել անվան փոփոխության մասին հոկտեմբերի 28 ին ընկերության ամենամյա Connect կոնֆերանսի ժամանակ, սակայն նոր անվանումը կարող է ավելի շուտ բացահայտվել, հայտնում է Verge-ը:
Այս քայլին Facebook-ը գնում է այն ժամանակ, երբ տեղադրված նյութերի բովանդակության չափավորման և տարբեր անձանց կողմից գաղտնի փաստաթղթերի հրապարակման արդյունքում հասցված վնասների պատճառով այն հայտնվել է աշխարհի տարբեր երկրների օրենսդիր մարմինների եւ համացանցի կարգավորողների լայնածավալ վերահսկողության ներքո:
