Ուեսթը ցանկանում է, որ ընտանիքը վերջապես վերամիավորվի, սակայն նրա կարծիքով՝ լրատվամիջոցների հրապարակումները միայն խնդիրներ են ավելացնում իր ու Քարդաշյանի հարաբերություններին։ «Դա ինձ համար կատակ չէ։ Ես ցանկանում եմ, որ մենք միասին լինենք»,- խոստովանել է Քանյեն։
Արտիստը հավելել է, որ զույգի բաժանումը բացասաբար է անդրադարձել երեխաների՝ Նորթի, Սեյնթի, Չիկագոյի եւ Փսալմի վրա։ Քանյեն նշել է, որ ամուսնալուծությունը նրանց համար բարդ է եղել, քանի որ նրանք ցանկանում էին, որ ծնողները միասին լինեն։
