Ֆիլիպինների նախագահ Ռոդրիգո Դուտերտեի դուստրն իր թեկնածությունն է առաջադրել փոխնախագահի պաշտոնի համար՝ վերջ դնելով 2022 թվականի ընտրություններին մասնակցելու մտադրության մասին ասեկոսեներին: Այս մասին հայտնում է Reuters գործակալությունը՝ վկայակոչելով նրա խոսնակին:
43-ամյա Սառա Դուտերտե-Կարպիոն փոխնախագահի պաշտոնի համար պայքարին միացել է փոխարինման հիմունքով, երբ իր քաղաքական կուսակցության նախնական թեկնածուն հեռացել է, ինչպես տեղեկացրել է նրա խոսնակ Կրիստինա Գարսիա-Ֆրասկոն:
Փոխնախագահի պաշտոնում առաջադրվելու որոշումը զարմանք է հարուցել երկրում, քանի որ ավելի վաղ իրականացված հարցումները ցույց էին տվել, որ մեծամասնության կարծիքով՝ Դուտերտե-Կարպիոն մտադիր է մասնակցել նախագահական մրցապայքարին:
Ֆիլիպիններում նախագահը և փոխնախագահն առանձին-առանձին են ընտրվում: Երկրի 76-ամյա նախագահին Սահմանադրությամբ արգելվում է երկրորդ 6-ամյա ժամկետով առաջադրվել նույն պաշտոնում: Անցյալ ամիս վերջինս հայտարարել էր, որ հեռանալու է քաղաքականությունից:
