Հայ-իրանական համատեղ աշխատանքային խումբն ուսումնասիրել է Ագարակի պղնձամոլիբդենային կոմբինատի գործունեության հետևանքով Արաքս գետի հնարավոր աղտոտման հարցը։ Տեղեկությունը Facebook–ի իր էջում հայտնել է ՀՀ գլխավոր դատախազի խորհրդական Գոռ Աբրահամյանը` ներկայացնելով Իրանի Իսլամական Հանրապետության գլխավոր դատախազ Մոհամադ Ջաֆար Մոնթազերիի` Հայաստան կատարած այցի ընթացքում ՀՀ գլխավոր դատախազ Արթուր Դավթյանի հետ ձեռք բերված պայմանավորվածության արդյունքները։

«Մեղրիի համայնքապետարանում տեղի ունեցած համատեղ խորհրդակցության ընթացքում, որին մասնակցել է նաև «Ագարակի պղնձամոլիբդենային կոմբինատ» ՓԲ ընկերության տնօրենը, քննարկվել են կոմբինատի գործունեության ընթացքում առաջացող կեղտաջրերի մաքրման, ինչպես նաև դրանց՝ դեպի Արաքս գետ հոսքը կանխելու ուղղությամբ ընկերության իրականացրած աշխատանքները»,– հայտնում է Աբրահամյանը։
Նա նաև նշում է, որ ընկերության տնօրինության առաջարկով այցելել են կոմբինատի պոչամբարի տարածք, տեղում ուսումնասիրվել է հարստացուցիչ ֆաբրիկայի գործունեության մեջ օգտագործվող ջրերի շրջանառության համար նոր շահագործման հանձնված փակ համակարգը, ներկայացվել են կեղտաջրերի հոսքը դեպի Արաքս գետ կանխելու ուղղությամբ ընկերության կողմից իրականացված միջոցառումները:
Այցելության ընթացքում աշխատանքային խումբն արձանագրել է, որ կոմբինատը կատարել է ջրերի շրջանառության փակ համակարգի ներդրման պարտավորությունը, գետի աղտոտման, կեղտաջրերի արտահոսքի դեպքեր չեն արձանագրվել:
 
Այդուհանդերձ, կողմերը համաձայնություն են ձեռք բերել շարունակել համագործակցությունը և իրականացնել հնարավոր բոլոր միջոցառումները, այդ թվում՝ հետագայում ցանկացած պահի համապատասխան նմուշառումների միջոցով, տարածաշրջանում լեռնահարստացման գործունեության հետևանքով շրջակա միջավայրին հասցվող վնասը նվազագույնի հասցնելու ուղղությամբ:
