Աֆղանստանը գտնվում Է հումանիտար աղետի շեմին, երկրի ավելի քան 1 միլիոն երեխաներ գտնվում են սովամահության եզրին: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, ՄԱԿ-ի նորությունների ծառայությանը տված հարցազրույցում հայտարարել Է Աֆղանստանում ՅՈՒՆԻՍԵՖ-ի ներկայացուցության հաղորդակցությունների բաժնի ղեկավար Սամանթա Մորթը:

«Այսօրվա դրությամբ պարենի անբավարարությանն Է բախվում ամբողջ երկրի մոտավորապես 22,8 միլիոն մարդ: Իսկ դա Աֆղանստանի բնակչության մեծամասնությունն Է, որտեղ հաշվում Է 38 միլիոն բնակիչ: Բազմաթիվ աֆղանցիների հասանելի չեն ոչ թանկ կամ սնուցիչ մթերքները: Այդ երեխաները մանկություն չունեն: Խոսքը ոչ միայն այն մասին Է, թե ինչպես ողջ մնալ, այլեւ այն մասին, թե ինչպես ապրել մինչեւ հաջորդ օրը»,-հայտարարել Է Մորթը:

ՅՈՒՆԻՍԵՖ-ի ներկայացուցիչը հիշեցրել Է, որ մոտենում են ձմեռային ցուրտ ամիսները, եւ որ ձյան պատճառով բազմաթիվ լեռնային գյուղական շրջաններ կտրված են լինելու արտաքին աշխարհից:

«Մենք ՅՈՒՆԻՍԵՖ-ում չափազանց անհանգստացած ենք ստեղծված իրադրության կապակցությամբ, քանի որ գիտենք, որ մոտավորապես 3,2 միլիոն երեխաներ տառապում են սուր թերասնումից, իսկ 1,1 միլիոն երեխաներ գտնվում են սովամահության եզրին: Նրանք ողջ չեն մնա, եթե մենք չկարողանանք ապահովել նրանց անհրաժեշտ բուժումը»,-նախազգուշացրել Է Սամանթա Մորթը: ՅՈՒՆԻՍԵՖ-ի ներկայացուցիչն ընդգծել Է, որ միջազգային հանրակցությունը պետք Է գիտակցի, որ Աֆղանստանը գտնվում Է հումանիտար աղետի շեմին:

«Հիմա քաղաքական սակարկությունների ժամանակը չԷ: Մարդիկ Աֆղանստանում մահանում են, եւ նրանց հարկավոր Է մեր աջակցությունը: Հումանիտար օգնությունը մարդկային համերաշխության դրսեւորում Է»,-հայտարարել Է ՄԱԿ-ի Մանկական հիմնադրամի ներկայացուցիչը:

Ավելի վաղ ՄԱԿ-ը նախազգուշացրել Է 23 միլիոն աֆղանցիներին սպառնացող հյուծվածության եւ սովից մեռնելու մասին, ինչը վկայում են հետազոտության տվյալները, որն անցկացվել Է ՄԱԿ-ի Պարենավորման համաշխարհային ծրագրի (ՖԱՈ) եւ Պարենավորման ու գյուղատնտեսական կազմակերպության կողմից: ՄԱԿ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղարի հումանիտար հարցերով տեղակալ Մարտին Գրիֆիթսը դիմել Է G20-ի երկրների ղեկավարներին՝ խնդրելով կանխել զանգվածային սովն Աֆղանստանում, հաղորդել Է «Ինտերֆաքս»-ը:
