«Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթը գրում է․ «2021թ.-ի ընթացքում զենքի բացահայտ կիրառմամբ հանցագործությունները շատացել են: Օրինակները բազմաթիվ են՝ Աբովյան փողոցի սպանությունից մինչեւ ԱԺ նախկին պատգամավոր Արտյուշ Սիմոնյանի առանձնատանն իրականացված ողբերգությունը, ինչի ժամանակ սպանվել էին քրեական հեղինակություն Արթուր Ղազարյանը՝ Տույը, եւ պատգամավոր Արտյուշ Սիմոնյանը:

Կրակոցներ էին հնչել նաեւ ԱԺ նախկին պատգամավոր Գագիկ Մելիքյանի որդու ուղղությամբ, ինչի հետեւանքով որդու ընկերն էր մահացել: Անկանոն կրակահերթի պատճառով նաեւ «Գլորիա» կարի ֆաբրիկայի սեփականտիրոջ դուստրն էր մահացել: Աղմկահարույց բոլոր այս սպանությունները, ցավոք, մինչեւ վերջ բացահատված չեն: Որտե՞ղ է ոստիկանության թերացումը կամ բացթողումը. ինչո՞ւ ժամանակին չեն կանխվել, նախականխվել սպանությունները. այս հարցերին ՀՀ փոխոստիկանապետ Արա Ֆիդանյանն այսպես է պատասխանում.

«Պետք է արձանագրել մի կարեւոր հանգամանք. նոր ենք թոթափել պատերազմական իրավիճակն, ու քրեաբանական առումով միանշանակ է, որ ապօրինի զենքի շրջանառությունը պետք է աճեր Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունում:

Եվ հիմնականում դրանով է պայմանավորված սպանությունների որոշակի թվի աճը: Նշեմ, որ այդ թիվը բավականին քիչ է, ու իրականում ձեռնարկվում են անհրաժեշտ միջոցառումներ հանցագործությունների կանխման, բացահայտման ուղղությամբ»: Ճշտող հարցին, թե չի բացառում արդյոք, որ զենքերը նաեւ պատերազմի դաշտից են հասել քաղաքացիներին, փոխոստիկանապետը հաստատող պատասխան է տալիս. «Ոչ թե չեմ բացառում, այլ շատ են նման դեպքերը, ու պարբերաբար ձեռնարկվում են անհրաժեշտ կարխարգելիչ միջոցառումներ»»:
