Օգոստոսին արտառոց միջադեպ է տեղի ունեցել ՏՄՊՊՀ-ում: Հանձնաժողովի աշխատակիցներից մեկը պատմեց, որ նիստի ժամանակ, որը վարել է Գեղամ Գեւորգյանը, վեճ է ծագել մեթոդաբանության եւ շուկաների վերահսկողության վարչության պետ Դավիթ Էլոյանի եւ մրցակցության վարչության աշխատակից Արսեն Պետրոսյանի միջեւ, ապա վերաճել է ձեռնամարտի: Էլոյանին չի կաշկանդել հանձնաժողովի նախագահի ներկայությունը, «վազել է իր աշխատասենյակ, դանակ բերել, որ հարձակվի Արսենի վրա», հետո Պետրոսյանին կանչել է միջանցք՝ «ռազբորկայի»։ Ահաբեկված աշխատակիցները փախել են իրենց սենյակներ: Նիստն ընդհատվել է, խառնվել են անվտանգության աշխատակիցները։ Նիստին ներկա տնտեսվարողներն ապշահար լքել են շենքը, մեկը Գեղամին ասել է. «Դուք նույնիսկ Ձեր աշխատակազմին չեք կարողանում կարգի հրավիրել, մեզ կանչել եք ստեղ, հարցե՞ր եք տալիս»։

Տեղեկությունը փորձեցինք ճշտել ՏՄՊՊՀ խոսնակ Անի Սմբատյանից: «Տեղեկացնում եմ, որ ՄՊՀ նիստի ժամանակ նման միջադեպ չի գրանցվել։ Ձեր կողմից նշված անձինք օգոստոսից չեն հանդիսանում ՄՊՀ աշխատակիցներ»։ Հարցին, թե երբ եւ ինչու են նրանք ազատվել, պատասխանեց. «Օգոստոսի 2-ին Արսեն Պետրոսյանն է ազատվել, իսկ Դավիթ Էլոյանը՝ օգոստոսի 10-ին: Ազատվել են իրենց դիմումի համաձայն»: Միջադեպի 2 մասնակիցները գրեթե միաժամանակ են ազատվել, Էլոյանը նոր աշխատող էր, որին ընդունել էր Գեւորգյանը, իսկ Արսեն Պետրոսյանը ՏՄՊՊՀ համեմատաբար փորձառուներից էր՝ այս կառույցում աշխատանքի 10 տարվա փորձ ունի: Մեզ հետ զրույցում Արսեն Պետրոսյանն ասաց. «Ես արդեն մեկ տարի ունեի հեռանալու մտադրություն... դա ինչ-որ միջադեպի պատճառով չէր կարող լինել: Իմ պատճառներն այլ են եղել, իսկ թե դա համընկել է Էլոյանի գնալու հետ, թե չէ, կարեւոր չի»:
