Ամերիկյան The National Interest ամսագիրը հոդված է հրապարակել Բրյուսելում Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի ղեկավարների առաջիկա հանդիպման, ինչպես նաև երկրների միջև բանակցային գործընթացում Եվրամիության շահերի մասին։

Հրապարակման մեջ անկախ լրագրող Մարկ Տեմնիցկին հարցեր է տալիս`  ԵՄ-ն ի՞նչ հույս ունի շահել Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի հետ առաջիկա գագաթնաժողովից և ինչպես կարող է ԵՄ-ն մասնակցել երկրների միջև խաղաղ բանակցություններին:

Հեղինակը նշում է, որ Եվրամիությունը պետք է շարունակի ֆինանսական և մարդասիրական օգնություն ցուցաբերել՝ փորձելով լուծել հակամարտությունը։

Հոդվածում ընդգծվում է, որ բրյուսելյան հանդիպումների արդյունքում ԵՄ-ն կկարողանա պատկերացում կազմել բանակցային գործընթացի մասին, ինչը լավ գիտեն Ռուսաստանը և Թուրքիան։ Հեղինակը չի բացառում, որ եվրոպացիների մոտ մտահղացում կծագի մասնակցել հրադադարի ռեժիմի պահպանման մոնիտորինգին։

«Այդ գործողությունը կարող է հանգեցնել Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի տարածաշրջանում Մինսկի խմբի միջնորդ ուժերի վերականգնմանը, ինչը, իր հերթին, կարող է հանգեցնել Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի միջև սահմանի սահմանազատմանը»,- ասվում է հոդվածում։

Նշվում է նաև, որ Եվրամիությունը կարող է համագործակցել Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի հետ նրանց տնտեսական զարգացման ջանքերում և աջակցել նրանց առևտրային հնարավորությունների ընդլայնմանը, ինչը կնպաստի երկու երկրների տնտեսությունների խթանմանը։

«Եթե Միշելը արդյունավետ քննարկում ունենա վարչապետ Փաշինյանի և նախագահ Ալիևի հետ, ապա ԵՄ-ի ներգրավվածությունը Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի հետ կարող է օգնել վերջ դնել Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտությանը»,- գրում է Մարկ Տեմնիցկին։

Ընդգծվում է նաև, որ ղարաբաղյան հակամարտությունը խորը արմատներ ունի և չի կարող ավարտվել մեկ օրում, սակայն ԵՄ-ն կարող է էական դեր խաղալ այս գործընթացում։
