Ամերիկյան զորքերը կստիպեն Ռուսաստանին պատերազմ վարել երկու ճակատով, եթե Ռուսաստանի Դաշնությունը «հարձակվի» Ուկրաինայի վրա, ասել է ԱՄՆ պաշտպանության նախարարության նախկին սպա, ռազմական փորձագետ Քրիս Օսբորնը  The National Interest-ի հոդվածում, գրում է Gazeta.ru-ն։

«ԱՄՆ ռազմածովային ուժերը, հավանաբար, ծովային գերազանցություն ունեն ռուսական նավատորմի նկատմամբ, իսկ ծովային հետևակայիններին իջեցնելը կարող է հանգեցնել երկու ճակատով հակամարտության, որի դեմ ռուսական ուժերը ստիպված կլինեն պայքարել»,- նշել է փորձագետը։

Օսբորնի խոսքով՝ ամերիկացիները կկարողանան արագորեն իրենց ուժերը տեղափոխել Սև ծովի տարածքում և աջակցել Ուկրաինային՝ պաշտպանելու իր սահմանները։ Նաև ԱՄՆ բանակը ունակ է կազմակերպել դեսանտային օպերացիաներ և հրթիռային հարվածներ Սև ծովի ափից։ Հոդվածի հեղինակն ընդգծել է, որ Ռուսաստանի համար դժվար կլինի պահել այն տարածքները, որոնք կարող է «գրավել» «ներխուժման» սկսվելուց հետո։

Նա հիշեցրել է Tomahawk հրթիռների և քիչ նկատելի F-35 բազմաֆունկցիոնալ կործանիչների [C և B տարբերակները] գոյության մասին, որոնք «կարող են հսկայական վնաս հասցնել Ռուսաստանի զինված ուժերին` Ուկրաինայի հետ Ռուսաստանի սահմանի երկայնքով»։ Օսբորնը նշել է, որ Ռուսաստանի ռազմաօդային ուժերն ունեն Սու-57 անտեսանելի կործանիչներ, սակայն հետաքրքրվել է, թե արդյոք այդ ինքնաթիռներն արտադրվել են այնպիսի քանակությամբ, որ իսկապես ազդեն հնարավոր ռազմական հակամարտության ելքի վրա:
