Ալեն Սիմոնյանը հանդիպել է Նենսի Փելոսիին

Հունվարի 19-ին Հայաստանի Հանրապետության Ազգային ժողովի նախագահ Ալեն Սիմոնյանը հանդիպել է Ամերիկայի Միացյալ Նահանգների Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի խոսնակ Նենսի Փելոսիին:
Հանդիպմանը Ալեն Սիմոնյանը ներկայացրել է Հայաստանի Հանրապետության կողմից 2018 թվականի Թավշյա հեղափոխությունից հետո ժողովրդավարական ինստիտուտների եւ օրենքի գերակայության ամրապնդման գործում արձանագրված հետեւողական առաջընթացը: Նա ընդգծել է Հայաստանի իշխանությունների եւ խորհրդարանի ջանքերը կոռուպցիայի դեմ պայքարի եւ թափանցիկության ու հաշվետվողականության բարձրացման ուղղությամբ, ինչպես նաեւ ընդգծել ազատ եւ արդար ընտրությունների դերը բարեփոխումների անշրջելիության ապահովման գործում:
Ալեն Սիմոնյանն իր գործընկերոջ ուշադրությունն է հրավիրել այն փաստի վրա, որ 2018-2021 թվականներին Հայաստանը բարելավել է Transparency International-ի կոռուպցիայի ընկալման իր ցուցանիշը՝ 35-ից անցնելով 49-ի, եւ Freedom House-ի գնահատմամբ՝ ազատության գլոբալ ցուցանիշը դրական աճ է արձանագրել: Կողմերը վերահաստատել են, որ ժողովրդավարությունը հայ-ամերիկյան համագործակցության կարեւորագույն հիմնասյուներից է:
Ալեն Սիմոնյանը ներկայացրել է կոնկրետ ոլորտներում Հայաստանի օրենսդրական մի շարք բարեփոխումներ:
Ազգային ժողովի նախագահն իր գործընկերոջը տեղեկացրել է Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտության ներկա փուլի եւ 44-օրյա պատերազմից հետո տարածաշրջանում տիրող իրավիճակի մասին: Նա վերահաստատել է Հայաստանի պատրաստակամությունը՝ աշխատելու տարածաշրջանում երկարաժամկետ խաղաղության եւ անվտանգության հաստատման ուղղությամբ: Նա ընդգծել է, որ Ադրբեջանի իշխանությունները շարունակում են բացահայտորեն սպառնալ Հայաստանի Հանրապետության ինքնիշխանությանն ու տարածքային ամբողջականությանը եւ շարունակում են ոտնձգությունները նրա տարածքի նկատմամբ: Կողմերը համակարծիք են եղել, որ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտության վերջնական կարգավորումը կարող է ձեռք բերվել միայն խաղաղ բանակցությունների ճանապարհով՝ ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահության հովանու ներքո:
Քննարկվել են նաեւ Ադրբեջանի կողմից հայ ռազմագերիների անհապաղ ազատ արձակման, ինչպես նաեւ տարածաշրջանում բոլոր կոմունիկացիոն գծերի բացմանը վերաբերող հարցեր:
Զրուցակիցներն անդրադարձել են հայ-ամերիկյան միջխորհրդարանական հարաբերությունների ամրապնդմանն ու նախանշել այդ ուղղությամբ համագործակցության ընդլայնումը: Այս համատեքստում Ազգային ժողովի նախագահը բարձր է գնահատել Կոնգրեսի հայկական հարցերով խմբի գործունեությունը, որն ունի երկկուսակցական աջակցություն եւ առանցքային դեր է խաղում այդ հարաբերությունների ամրապնդման գործում: Ալեն Սիմոնյանը երախտագիտություն է հայտնել խոսնակ Փելոսիին եւ նրա բոլոր գործընկերներին Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչման եւ համապատասխան բանաձեւի ընդունման գործում նրանց ունեցած արժեքավոր ներդրման համար:
Հանդիպմանը Նենսի Փելոսիին է հանձնվել Պատվո շքանշան՝ Հայաստանի Հանրապետության եւ Ամերիկայի Միացյալ Նահանգների միջեւ դիվանագիտական հարաբերությունների հաստատման 30-ամյակի կապակցությամբ՝ հայ-ամերիկյան բարեկամական հարաբերությունների ամրապնդման եւ զարգացման գործում ներդրած նշանակալի ավանդի համար:
Հանդիպմանը մասնակցել են ԱՄՆ Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի փոքրամասնության ղեկավար հանրապետական Քեվին ՄըքՔարթին, հանրապետականներ Դեւիդ Վալադաոն, Գաս Բիլիրակիսը, դեմոկրատներ Ֆրենկ Փալոնը, Ջեքի Սփիրը, Ադամ Շիֆը եւ Աննա Էշուն:
