Քանյեի խոսքով՝ նախկին կինը հոկտեմբերին իրեն հրավիրել է «Saturday Night Live» երեկոյան շոուին, որի ընթացքում համբուրվել է նոր ընկերոջ՝ Փիթ Դեւիդսոնի հետ։ Քանյեն խոստովանել է, որ դա լրջորեն խոցել է իրեն․ «Ինչպե՞ս կարող ես ինձ հրավիրել SNL-ին եւ իմ աչքի առաջ համբուրվել նոր ընկերոջդ հետ»։ Ի պատասխան երաժիտը որոշել է ազնիվ վերաբերմունք ցուցաբերել իր երեխաների մորն ու ստանալ նրա մասնակցությամբ վերջին ինտիմ տեսանյութը, որը չի հրապարակվել։
«Ես հանդիպեցի նրան (Ռեյ Ջեյին․ խմբ․) օդանավակայանում, վերադարձա գիշերային չվերթով, առավոտյան ժամը ութին նրան հասցրի տեսագրությունը։ Ես նրան փոխանցեցի նոութբուքն, ու նա արտասվեց, երբ տեսավ այն։ Գիտես՝ ինչո՞ւ էր նա արտասվում։ Դա խոսում է այն մասին, թե որքան հաճախ են նրան օգտագործել։ Դա խոսում է այն մասին, թե մարդիկ որքան չեն սիրել նրան, նրանք ի դեմս նրա պարզապես ապրանք են տեսել»,- պատմել է Քանյեն։
