Ռուսաստանի ներխուժումն Ուկրաինա կհանգեցնի ռազմական եւ հումանիտար աղետի։ Այս մասին Ուկրաինայի նախագահ Վլադիմիր Զելենսկու հետ մամուլի ասուլիսում հայտարարել է Մեծ Բրիտանիայի վարչապետ Բորիս Ջոնսոնը։

«Ռուսաական հետագա ներխուժումն Ուկրաինա քաղաքական աղետ, կլիներ, հումանիտար աղետ, ինչպես նաեւ Ռուսաստանի եւ աշխարհի համար՝ ռազմական աղետ»,- ասել է Ջոնսոնը։

Նրա խոսքով՝ Ռուսաստանը պետք է «նահանջի» Ուկրաինայի դեմ ցանկացած ռազմական գործողությունից։ «Շատ կարեւոր է, որ Ռուսաստանը հետ քայլ կատարի եւ ընտրի դիվանագիտության ճանապարհը»,- ասել է Ջոնսոնը։ «Եւ ես հավատում եմ, որ դա դեռ հնարավոր է: Մենք, իհարկե, շահագրգռված ենք երկխոսությամբ, բայց մենք ունենք պատրաստ պատժամիջոցներ, մենք տրամադրում ենք ռազմական աջակցություն, եւ նաեւ կակտիվացնենք մեր տնտեսական համագործակցությունը... Ինչ-որ մեկն ասել է, որ մենք չափազանցնում ենք սպառնալիքը, որ ԱՄՆ-ն ու Մեծ Բրիտանիան փորձում են ուռճացնել իրավիճակը»,- ասել է Ջոնսոնը։ «Բայց սա ակնհայտ եւ իրական վտանգ է»։

Նրա խոսքով՝ Ռուսաստանը պատրաստվում է «անխուսափելի ռազմական արշավի»։ Ջոնսոնը կարծում է, որ ՌԴ նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինը «ատրճանակը դրել է Ուկրաինայի գլխին»։ Ջոնսոնը հիշել է, թե ինչպես է «երիտասարդ ժամանակ» հետեւել Բեռլինի պատի փլուզմանը։ Նրա խոսքով, այս պատմական իրադարձությունը նշանակում է, որ ցանկացած երկիր կարող է ազատորեն ընտրել անվտանգության ոլորտում իր դաշինքները։ «Պուտինը փորձում է խափանել դա՝ պարտադրել նոր Յալթա եւ ազդեցության գոտի»,- ասել է նա։ Նա կարծում է, որ եթե Կրեմլի հավակնությունները պահպանվեն, «դա միայն Ուկրաինան չի լինի»։ «Դուք պետք է մտածեք Վրաստանի, Մոլդովայի եւ այլ երկրների մասին»։

Նրա խոսքով՝ Մեծ Բրիտանիան պատժամիջոցներ կկիրառի «այն պահին, երբ առաջին ռուս զինվորը մտնի Ուկրաինա»։
