POLITICSՀայաստանի Սահմանադրությունը պահանջում է, որ Հանրապետության նախագահը պետք է լինի անաչառ, առաջնորդվի համազգային և համապետական շահերով. Հայաստանն այսօր ներքին ու արտաքին լրջագույն մարտահրավերներ է դիմագրավում: Այս մասին հայտարարություն է տարածել «Հայաստան» դաշինքը:
Հայտարարությունում նաեւ ասվում է. «Համազգային համախմբումը, հանրային համերաշխությունն այլընտրանք չունեն:
Բայց երկիրը կործանման եզրին հասցրած, հասարակությունը պառակտած այս իշխանությունը որոշել է շարունակել նույն գործելաոճը և առաջնորդվել ոչ թե պետական, այլ միմիայն իր նեղ թիմային շահերով:
Չնայած Նախագահի ինստիտուտը պետք է հանդես գա որպես իրապես չեզոք և հասարակությանը համախմբող ինստիտուտ, օրվա իշխանությունը որոշել է առաջադրել և միայնակ ընտրել բացառապես սեփական ուժի Հանրապետության նախագահ:
Միջազգային հանրությունը անգործություն և լռություն է պահպանում ժողովրդավարության նահանջի ակնհայտ փաստերի հանդեպ, այդ թվում` մեկ անձի բռնապետության ձևավորման առումով:
Մենք քննարկել ենք թեկնածու առաջադրելու նպատակահարմարությունը, սակայն ստեղծված իրավիճակում անընդունելի եւ սխալ ենք համարում նույնիսկ անուղղակի ձևով այդ ընտրության լեգիտիմացմանը մասնակցելը:
Ելնելով այս հաստատումներից Ազգային ժողովի «Հայաստան» և «Պատիվ ունեմ» խմբակցությունները որոշել են որևէ կերպ չմասնակցել Հանրապետության նախագահի ընտրությանը։
