Վրաստանի վարչապետի պաշտոնի թեկնածու կառաջադրվի հանրապետության արտաքին գործերի նախարար փոխվարչապետ Գեորգի Կվիրիկաշվիլին: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, հղում անելով «Գրուզիա Online»-ին, դեկտեմբերի 24-ին հայտնել է երկրում կառավարող «Վրացական երազանքի» խորհրդարանական խմբակցության ղեկավար Գիա Վ ոլսկին:
Պատգամավորի խոսքով՝ Կվիրիկաշվիլին խորհրդարանական մեծամասնության կողմից ընտրվել է չորս հավակնորդների թվից եւ պաշտոնապես վարչապետի պաշտոնի թեկնածու կառաջադրվի Վրաստանի խորհրդարանի դեկտեմբերի 25-ի նիստում:
Իրակլի Ղարիբաշվիլին, որը դեկտեմբերի 23-ին հայտարարել է իր պաշտոնաթողության մասին, հավանություն է տվել Կվիրիկաշվիլիի առաջադրմանը եւ ներկա է գտնվելու նրա թեկնածության ներկայացման արարողությանը, նշել է Վոլսկին:
Գեորգի Կվիրիկաշվիլին 48 տարեկան է: Նա բարձրագույն կրթություն է ստացել Թբիլիսիում եւ ԱՄՆ-ում, 1999-2004 թվականներին եղել է Վրաստանի խորհրդարանի պատգամավոր, այնուհետեւ բարձր պաշտոններ է զբաղեցրել երկրի մասնավոր ֆինանսական ու բանկային կառույցներում: 2012 թվականի հոկտեմբերի 25-ից նա զբաղեցնում էր էկոնոմիկայի նախարարի պաշտոնը, 2013 թվականի հուլիսից միաժամանակ փոխվարչապետ էր: 2015 թվականի սեպտեմբերի 1-ին նշանակվել է ԱԳ նախարարության ղեկավար՝ պահպանելով փոխվարչապետի պաշտոնը:
