Ադրբեջանի ղեկավարն ասել է, որ Հայաստանի ու Բաքվի միջև պետք է կնքվի խաղաղության համաձայնագիր, բայց այն «պետք է ստորագրվի իրավունքի միջազգային նորմերի և սկզբունքների հիման վրա՝ երկրների տարածքային ամբողջականության փոխադարձ ընդունման պայմանով»:

Այս թեմայի մասին զրուցել ենք թուրքագետ Ռուբեն Սաֆրաստյանի հետ։

Հարցին, թե այս հայտարարությունն արդյոք կապ ունի՞ Շուշիի հռչակագրի հետ, որը վերջերս Թուրքիան ու Ադրբեջանը վավերացրին` թուրքագետն ասաց. « Շուշիի հռչակագրի ստորագրումից ու վավերացումից հետո, փաստորեն, պետք է հաշվի առնենք, որ երբ գործ ունենք Ադրբեջանի հետ, ապա գործ ունենք նաև Թուրքիայի հետ, եթե գործ ունենք Թուրքիայի հետ՝ գործ ունենք նաև Ադրբեջանի հետ: Այդ հռչակագրով այս երկրների ինտեգրումն ավելի խորն է գնացել, քան կար մինչ այդ»:

Հարցին, թե մենք կարող ենք ասել, որ դա նաև Թուրքիայի՞ տեսակետն է տվյալ հարցի վերաբերյալ` թուրքագետն ասաց. « Ես կարծում եմ՝ այո՛, որովհետև, ինչպես ասացի, ինտեգրումը շատ խորն է գնում՝ հիմնվելով Շուշիի հռչակագրի վրա: Նմանօրինակ կարևոր հայտարարությունները նրանք նախապես համաձայնեցնում են»:

Անդրադառնալով հարցին, թե խաղաղության համաձայնագիրը ի՞նչ գնով է հնարավոր լինելուհաշվի առնելով, որ Ալիևը իր նախապայմաններն արդեն ներկայացրել է` Ռուբեն Սաֆրաստյանն ասաց. «Իհարկե լավ կլինի, եթե խաղաղության պայմանագիր լինի, բայց, մյուս կողմից՝ դրա գինը, շատ ճիշտ նշեցիք, ո՞րն է լինելու: Դրա գինը լինելու է Ադրբեջանի տարածքային ամբողջականության ճանաչումը, ներառյալ՝ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղը: Չեմ կարծում, թե Հայաստանի որևէ իշխանություն այդ գինը կվճարի խաղաղության պայմանագրի դիմաց»:
