«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է
2001 թվականի հունիսի 27-ին Հայաստանը վավերացրել է Շրջակա միջավայրի հարցերի առնչությամբ տեղեկատվության մատչելիության, որոշումների ընդունման գործընթացին հասարակայնության մասնակցության և արդարադատության մատչելիության մասին կոնվենցիան (այսուհետ՝ Օրհուսի կոնվենցիա)։ Կոնվենցիայի նպատակն է աջակցել մարդու առողջության իրավունքի պաշտպանությանը, նրա առողջության և բարեկեցության համար բարենպաստ միջավայրի ապահովմանը, տեղեկատվության մատչելիությանը, որոշումների կայացման գործընթացում հասարակության մասնակցությանը։ Հիմա գործող իշխանությունները ցանկանում են օրենսդրական փոփոխություն անել և փաստացի հանրության կարծիքը մեջտեղից հանել:
Բնապահպան Սիլվա Ադամյանին մտահոգում է օրենսդրական նոր նախագիծը, որով «հանրության կարծիքն այլևս հաշվի չի առնվելու»: «Սա նշանակում է, որ ով ինչ ուզի, կարող է անել Հայաստանում: Սա խայտառակ նախագիծ է, մեր կարծիքով՝ այն նպաստելու է Ամուլսարի շահագործմանը: Ժամանակին տեղի բնակիչները և քաղհասարակությունը թույլ չտվեցին հանքի շահագործումը: Հիմա մեջտեղ են բերել այս նախագիծը, որը կարող է կանգնեցնել բոլոր տեսակի հարցումները ու ընդվզումները: Հայտարարություն ենք պատրաստում այս նախագծի մասով, այն շուտով կներկայացվի հանրությանը»,- «Փաստի» հետ զրույցում տեղեկացնում է Ադամյանը և հավելում, որ վերագործարկում են «Էկոլոգիական հասարակական դաշինքը»:
