ԱՄՆ-ի Սենատը բանաձեւ է ընդունել հաջակցություն Ուկրաինայի
INTERNATIONAL NEWSԱՄՆ-ի Սենատը վետրվարի 17-ի երեկոյան միաձայն բանաձեւ է ընդունել հաջակցություն Ուկրաինայի: Այդ մասին հաղորդում է The Hill-ը։ «Դա շատ կարեւոր բանաձեւ է, որը մենք ընդունել ենք:
Այն նախաձեռնել են սենատորներ Շահինը (Ժաննա Շահին, դեմոկրատ) եւ Փորթմանը (Ռոբ Փորթման, հանրապետական), եւ այն շատ ուժեղ ազդակ է հղում (…) այն մասին, որ Միացյալ Նահանգների Սենատը, դեմոկրատներն ու հանրապետականները (…) միասնական են Ուկրաինայի պաշտպանության գործում»,-հրատարակությունը մեջբերում է Սենատի մեծամասնության առաջնորդ Չառլզ Շումերի խոսքը: Թերթը հիշեցնում է որ բանաձեւի ճակատագիրն առկախված վիճակում էր, քանի որ ավելի վաղ հանրապետական սենատոր Ռենդ Փոլը նախազգուշացնում էր, որ կառարկի փաստաթղթում առանց փոփոխություններ մտցնելու դրա արագ անցկացման դեմ: Քանի որ սենատորները ցանկանում էին արագացնել բանաձեւի ընդունումը, նրանց պահանջվել է Կոնգրեսի վերին պալատի բոլոր հարյուր անդամների աջակցությունը:
Հրատարակությունը նշում է, որ բանաձեւի հեղինակները փոփոխություններ են մտցրել: Նրանք, մասնավորապես, ճշտել են, որ բանաձեւը, որն իրավական ուժ չունի, չպետք է որպես թույլտվություն դիտվի Ռուսաստանի դեմ ռազմական ուժի կիրառման կամ ԱՄՆ-ի զորքերն Ուկրաինա մտցնելու համար: Բանաձեւն ընդունվել է այն պատճառով, որ սենատորներն այդպես էլ չեն կարողացել պայմանավորվել Ռուսաստանի նկատմամբ պատժամիջոցների վերաբերյալ երկկուսակցական օրինագծի շուրջ, որը նախաձեռնվել է դեմոկրատ Բոբ Մենենդեսի կողմից: Միեւնույն ժամանակ հանրապետականները փետրվարի 15-ին Սենատում հրապարակել են Ռուսաստանի դեմ պատժամիջոցների շուրջ սեփական օրինագիծը, հաղորդել է «Ինտերֆաքս»-ը:
