«Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթը գրում է. Մինչ Դոնեցկի ու Լուգանսկի բնակիչները տոնում են Ռուսաստանի կողմից իրենց ինքնավար պետությունների անկախության ճանաչումը, Հայաստանում քննարկում են՝ այս հարցում որն է լինելու Հայաստանի դիրքորոշումը: Ռուսաստանի նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինը երկու ինքնահռչակ հանրապետությունների անկախությունը փետրվարի 21-ին է ճանաչել՝ միաժամանակ Դոնբասի երկու պետությունների ղեկավարների հետ կնքելով բարեկամության, համագործակցության եւ փոխադարձ օգնության համաձայնագրեր:
Ազգային ժողովի «Քաղաքացիական պայմանագիր» խմբակցության պատգամավոր Անուշ Բեղլոյանը «Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթին հարցին, թե կճանաչի արդյոք Հայաստանը Դոնբասի երկրների անկախությունը, արձագանքեց. «Հայաստանն արտաքին քաղաքականության առումով կաշկանդված չէ ու ցանկացած երկրի հետ հարաբերությունները կառուցում է երկուստեք հետաքրքրությունների շրջանակներում: Որեւէ այլ մեկնաբանություն չունեմ այս մասով»: Նույն հարցը նաեւ ընդդիմադիր «Պատիվ ունեմ» խմբակցության քարտուղար, ԱԺ արտաքին հարաբերությունների մշտական հանձնաժողովի փոխնախագահ Հայկ Մամիջանյանին ուղղեցինք: «Այս պահին չեմ արձագանքի»,- նշեց նա:
Ազգային ժողովի արտաքին հարաբերությունների հանձնաժողովի անդամ Մարիա Կարապետյանը երեկ եւս շրջանցեց հարցը, թե Հայաստանը արդյոք պատրաստվում է ճանաչել Դոնեցկի ու Լուգանսկի անկախությունը. «Ես այդ մասին այժմ մեկնաբանություն չեմ տա, քանի որ պետք է սպասեմ մինչեւ դիրքորոշում ձեւավորվի։ Ես հնարավորություն չեմ ունեցել իմ մյուս գործընկերների հետ քննարկելու երեկոյան տեղի ունեցած քաղաքական եւ աշխարհաքաղաքական զարգացումները»։
Փաստորեն, խորհրդարանական թե՛ ընդդիմադիր, թե՛ իշխանական պատգամավորները խուսափում են հստակ դիրքորոշում հայտնել Դոնեցկում ու Լուգանսկում կատարվող իրադարձությունների մասով: Եվ մինչ Երեւանից չկա արձագանք, Արցախի նախագահն է շտապել ողջունել Ռուսաստանի նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինի որոշումը իշխանության ու ժողովրդի անունից։ Պետականության միջազգային ճանաչումը Արայիկ Հարությունյանը համարել է քաղաքակիրթ միջոց արյունահեղության կանխարգելման համար ու զուգահեռներ անցկացրել Արցախի հետ:
