Այսօր տեղի է ունեցել Վրաստանի 3-րդ նախագահ Միխեիլ Սահակաշվիլիի դատավարությունը, որի ժամանակ նախկին նախագահը կորցրել է գիտակցությունը։ Նա դատավորին խնդրել է ընդմիջում հայտարարել։

Նախքան այդ, դատավոր Բադրի Կոճլամազիշվիլին նշել է, որ մեղադրյալի ելույթը չպետք է պարունակի քաղաքական հայտարարություններ, ինչին ի պատասխան Սահակաշվիլին նշել է․

«Ես Միխեիլ Սահակաշվիլին եմ, ի՞նչ է նշանակում քաղաքական բնույթի հայտարարություն չլինի»։

Վրաստանի երրորդ նախագահ Միխեիլ Սահակաշվիլիին առաջադրված մեղադրանքը ձևակերպված է հետևյալ կերպ՝ պաշտոնեական դիրքի միջոցով կատարված խոշոր չափի գումարի հափշտակություն։ Ըստ դատախազության՝ գործը վերաբերում է պետական ​​պահպանության հատուկ ծառայությանը պատկանող 9 024 367 լարիի յուրացմանը։ Հետաքննության տվյալներով՝ Վրաստանի նախագահ Միխեիլ Սահակաշվիլին նախագահի պահուստային ֆոնդից գաղտնի միջոցներ է հատկացրել իր անմիջական հսկողության տակ գտնվող հիշյալ ծառայությանը։

Դատախազության տվյալներով՝ 2009 թվականի մայիսի 1-ից մինչև 2013 թվականի փետրվարի 25-ը Միխեիլ Սահակաշվիլիի հանձնարարությամբ և կազմակերպմամբ, նրա անձնական նպատակների համար պետական ​​բյուջեին պատկանող 9 024 367 լարի է ծախսվել։ Եթե ​​հանցանքն ապացուցվի, ապա Սահակաշվիլիին սպառնում է 7-11 տարվա ազատազրկում:

Նախկին նախագահ Միխեիլ Սահակաշվիլին, որը ներկայումս Ուկրաինայի քաղաքացի է, Վրաստան է վերադարձել 2021 թվականի սեպտեմբերի վերջին։ Նա ձերբակալվել է հոկտեմբերի 1-ին Թբիլիսիում։
