ՆԱՏՕ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղարը խոսել է Ռուսաստանի հետ հնարավոր պատերազմի մասին
INTERNATIONAL NEWSՆԱՏՕ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղար Յենս Ստոլտենբերգը Ռուսաստանի եւ դաշինքի միջեւ լիարժեք պատերազմը քիչ հավանական է համարում։
CNN-ին տված հարցազրույցում Ստոլտենբերգը նշել է, որ ՆԱՏՕ-ի երկրների միասնության դրսեւորումը նվազեցրել է լայնամասշտաբ պատերազմի հավանականությունը։ Միաժամանակ նա խոստովանել է, որ Ուկրաինայում իրավիճակը «խիստ անկանխատեսելի է», եւ ՆԱՏՕ-ն բախվել է նոր իրողության ու պետք է պատրաստ լինի երկարաժամկետ հեռանկարի։
Գլխավոր քարտուղարը, որն այս տարվա վերջին Նորվեգիայի կենտրոնական բանկի ղեկավար պետք է դառնար, այժմ պատրաստվում է մնալ ՆԱՏՕ-ի ղեկավար՝ հաշվի առնելով Ուկրաինայում ստեղծված իրավիճակը: «Իմ ժամկետը երրորդ անգամ երկարացնելը, ըստ էության, արտոնություն եմ համարում։
Հարցին, թե արդյոք ՆԱՏՕ-ում աշխատելն ավելի կարեւոր է, քան Նորվեգիայի կենտրոնական բանկում աշխատելը, Ստոլտենբերգը պատասխանել է. «Ես զգում եմ, որ դա ավելի կարեւոր է»՝ հավելելով, որ եթե ինքը կարողանա ինչ-որ բան անել, որպեսզի այս հակամարտությունը չվերաճի Ռուսաստանի եւ ՆԱՏՕ-ի միջեւ լայնամասշտաբ պատերազմի, ուրեմն «դա չափազանց կարեւոր առաջադրանք է»։
