Ուկրաինացի զինվորականները շարունակում են պաշտպանական գործողությունները երկրի արևելյան, հարավ-արևելյան և հյուսիս-արևելյան ուղղություններով։ Այս մասին մարտի 28-ի առավոտյան տեղեկագրում հայտնել է երկի Զինված ուժերի Գլխավոր շտաբը։ 

Նշվում է նաև, որ Կիևի պաշտպանության ուժերի և միջոցների խմբավորումը հետ է պահում հակառակորդին, որը փորձում է հյուսիս-արևմուտքից և արևելքից ճեղքել պաշտպանությունը՝ հսկողության տակ առնելու առանցքային ճանապարհներն ու բնակավայրերը։

Ըստ տեղեկագրի՝ հարավում Ուկրաինայի Զինված ուժերի հիմնական ջանքերը կենտրոնացած են Կրիվոյ Ռոգի, Զապորոժիեի և Նիկոլաևի պաշտպանությունը կազմակերպելու վրա։

Ավելի վաղ ուկրաինական կողմը հաղորդել էր, որ մարտի 27-ի դրությամբ Ռուսաստանի Դաշնությունը Ուկրաինայում կորցրել է 16 600 զինվոր, ինչպես նաև 582 տանկ, 127 ուղղաթիռ և 121 ինքնաթիռ։
