«Եթե իրավիճակը մտահոգիչ չլիներ, հազարավոր մարդիկ այստեղ չէին լինի»,-այս մասին Ազատության հրապարակում ասել է ՀՀ երրորդ նախագահ, ՀՀԿ առաջնորդ Սերժ Սարգսյանը:
Անդրադառնալով վաղը Բրյուսելում Փաշինյան-Ալիեւ հանդիպմանը, Սերժ Սարգսյանն ասաց. «Նայած՝ ինչ պայմանավորվածություններ ձեռք կբերեն, բայց ես չեմ կարծում, որ նրանց կհաջողվի Արցախը թողնել Ադրբեջանի կազմում կամ Հայաստանը դարձնել մշտապես խաղաղություն մուրացող երկիր»:
Դիտարկմանը, որ իշխանության ներկայացուցիչները մշտապես հայտարարում են, որ նախորդ իշխանությունները եւս ընդունել են Ադրբեջանի տարածքային ամբողջականությունը` Սերժ Սարգսյանն ասաց, որ այդ հարցի պատասխանը հարյուրավոր անգամներ տրվել է. «Հրապարակն այն տեղը չի, որտեղ պետք է լրջորեն խոսենք այդ թեմայի մասին»:
Հարցին, թե ի՞նչ կարելի է ակնկալել վաղվա հանդիպումից, ՀՀ երրորդ նախագահը պատասխանեց. «Ես չեմ կարող ենթադրություններով զբաղվել: Չեմ կարծում, որ վաղն ինչ-որ փաստաթուղթ կստորագրվի: Օդում կախված են, իհարկե, այդպիսի վտանգներ, բայց չեմ կարծում, որ վաղը ինչ-որ փաստաթուղթ կստորագրվի»:
Նա նկատեց, որ այսպիսի կոնֆլիկտները հեշտ չէ նույնիսկ 30, 40, 50 տարում լուծելը. «Ինչքան կարողացել ենք, այդ լուծումը մոտեցրել ենք: Մեր մեղավորությունը չէ, որ իշխանության եկան մարդիկ, որոնք ասացին, որ իրենց կետից են սկսում, ձեր գործը չի՝ ինչ ենք բանակցում, ինչ ուզում ենք, դա էլ բանակցում ենք: Դրա համար հասանք այս վիճակին»:
Ինչ վերաբերում է իշխանության ներկայացուցիչների հայտարարություններին, թե իրենք ժամանակին բանակցել են տարածքները հանձնելու շուրջ` Սերժ Սարգսյանն արձգանքեց. «Ասողը ղալաթ է անում, ես երբեք հանձնելու մասով չեմ բանակցել, ես բանակցել եմ այն մասին, թե մենք ինչ կարող ենք ստանալ: Դրանից ելնելով, այո, մենք էլ ինչ-որ չափով պատրաստ էինք փոխզիջումների»:
