Հայտնի ռուս սրտաբան Ալեքսանդր Մյասնիկովի կատարած հետազոտությունների համաձայն, քիմիաթերապիայի ժամանակ քաղցկեղով հիվանդները սովորաբար վերահսկվում են սրտաբանի կողմից, սրտի վրա բացասական ազդեցություն է նկատվում դեպքերի մոտ 70 տոկոսի դեպքում։
