Նոր օրենքը կներառի հոդվածներ, որոնք համացանցում գիտակցաբար կեղծ տեղեկություններ տարածելու համար ազատազրկում են նախատեսում։ Այն կկարգավորի նաեւ առցանց լրագրությունը։
Սոցիալական ցանցերի ներկայացուցիչները կդիտարկվեն որպես ֆիզիկական, այլ ոչ թե որպես իրավաբանական անձինք:
Սոցցանցերի վերաբերյալ Թուրքիայի օրենքները թարմացվել են 2021թ․ հուլիսին՝ սոցիալական ցանցերի ընկերություններից պահանջելով գրասենյակներ բացել երկրի ներսում եւ նշանակել ներկայացուցիչներ, որոնք Թուրքիայի քաղաքացիներ պետք է լինեն: Հրաժարվողներին սպառնում են միլիոնավոր լիրայի տուգանքներ, թողունակության սահմանափակում։
