Բիլ Ռիչարդսոնը CNN-ի  ուղիղ եթերում շնորհակալություն է հայտնել Արա Աբրահամյանին օդաչու Կոնստանտին Յարոշենկոյի փոխանակումը Թրեվոր Ռիդի հետ իրականացնելու համար.

ՌԴ ԱԳՆ պաշտոնական ներկայացուցիչ Մարիա Զախարովան Յարոշենկոյի վերադարձն անվանել է «հրաշք»՝ ասելով, որ «Ռուսաստանը նրա համար պայքարել է տասներկու տարի», իսկ ամերիկացի հայտնի քաղաքական գործիչ Բիլ Ռիչարդսոնը (ՄԱԿ-ում ԱՄՆ նախկին դեսպան, Նյու Մեքսիկո նահանգի նահանգապետ, Ռիչարդսոն կենտրոնի ղեկավար), CNN-ի  ուղիղ եթերում մեկնաբանելով փոխանակումը, անձնական շնորհակալություն է հայտնել Արա Աբրահամյանին՝ այս գործընթացում աջակցության համար.

Ապրիլի 27-ին  հայրենիք է վերադարձել օդաչու Կոնստանտին Յարոշենկոն, ով ավելի քան տասը տարի անցկացրել է ամերիկյան բանտում և կարող էր գրեթե նույնքան անցկացնել այնտեղ, չնայած այն հանգամանքին, որ Մոսկվան երկար տարիներ ձգտում էր, որպեսզի Յարոշենկոն ազատ արձակվի։

53-ամյա  Յարոշենկոն լինելով քաղաքացիական ավիացիայի օդաչու՝ պայմանագրով աշխատել է Աֆրիկյան մի քանի երկրներում, որտեղ զբաղվել է բեռնափոխադրումներով և ուղևորափոխադրումներով, սակայն 2010 թվականին նա ձերբակալվել է Լիբերիայի հետախուզական ծառայությունների կողմից և հանձնվել ԱՄՆ-ին։

2014 թվականին դատապարտված Յարոշենկոն նամակ էր ուղարկել Վլադիմիր Պուտինին՝ խնդրելով իր՝ հայրենիք վերադառնալու հարցը բարձրացնել ԱՄՆ այն ժամանակվա նախագահ Բարաք Օբամայի հետ բանակցությունների ժամանակ։

2017 թվականի մայիսին ՌԴ օմբուդսմեն Տատյանա Մոսկալկովան դիմում է ուղարկել Դոնալդ Թրամփին՝ ՌԴ քաղաքացուն ներում շնորհելու խնդրանքով, իսկ հուլիսին Յարոշենկոն ինքն է նամակ գրել ԱՄՆ նախագահին. «Դոնալդ Թրամփին ուղղված այս կոչը իմ՝ առողջ բանականությամբ Ռուսաստան վերադառնալու վերջին հնարավորությունն է» վերտառությամբ:

Իսկ 28- ամյա Թրևոր Ռիդը, ում հետ փոխանակել են Յարոշենկոյին, նախկին ծովային հետևակ է, ով Ռուսաստան է եկել զբոսաշրջային վիզայով իր ռուս հարսնացուի մոտ: 2019 թվականին նա ձերբակալվել էր Մոսկվայում՝ ոչ սթափ վիճակում ոստիկանների վրա հարձակվելու համար։ 11 ամիս կալանքից հետո Ռիդը դատապարտվել է 9 տարվա ազատազրկման։

Հիշեցնենք, որ Ռուսաստանի հայերի միության նախագահ, ՅՈՒՆԵՍԿՕ-ի  բարի կամքի դեսպան Արա Աբրահամյանը բազմիցս ակտիվ մասնակցություն է ունեցել մարդկանց՝ (2005թ. Հասարակածային Գվինեայից ազատված հայ օդաչուների, ռուս նավաստիների և մարդկանց) ազատման ու փրկության հարցում:
