Ամերիկացի հատուկ ջոկատայինները Իրաքի Քիրկուկի նահանգում գերի են բռնել «Իսլամական պետություն» ահաբեկչական խմբավորման պարագլուխներից մեկին՝ Աբու Օմար աշ Շիշանիին: Այդ մասին հաղորդել է ՏԱՍՍ-ը՝ հղում անելով EIN լրատվական գործակալությ անը:
Հատուկ ջոկատայինները գերի են բռնել նաեւ ԻՊ-ի երկու դաշտային հրամանատարների եւ յոթ զինյալների: Ծայրահեղականներից երեքին տեղափոխել են Իրաքի հյուսիս-արեւելքի Սուլեյմանիա քաղաք:
ԶԼՄ-ներում քանիցս տեղեկատվություն է հրապարակվել աշ Շիշանիի ոչնչացման մասին, որը, սակայն, ամեն անգամ հերքվում էր:
Աբու Օմար աշ Շիշանին (իսկական անունը Թարխան Բատիրաշվիլի է) ծնվել է 1986 թվականին Վրաստանի Պանկիսի կիրճի գյուղերից մեկում: Ծառայել է վրացական բանակում, ավելի ուշ դատապարտվել է ապօրինաբար զենք կրելու համար: 2012 թվականին աշ Շիշանին մեկնել է Թուրքիա, հետագայում մարտական գործողությունների է մասնակցել Սիրիայում եւ Իրաքում, դարձել «Իսլամական պետություն» խմբավորման դաշտային հրամանատարներից մեկը:
