Առնվազն 19 երեխա և երկու մեծահասակ է զոհվել Տեխաս նահանգի Ուվալդե քաղաքի Ռոբի տարրական դպրոցում տեղի ունեցած հրաձգության հետևանքով, հայտնում է CNN-ը՝ վկայակոչելով պաշտոնական տվյալները։

Տեխասի նահանգապետ Գրեգ Էբոթը հայտնել է, որ կրակողը տեղի 18-ամյա բնակիչ Սալվադոր Ռամոսն է: Նա գործել է միայնակ՝ ձեռքին ունենալով ատրճանակ և, ենթադրաբար, ինքնաձիգ։ Դեպքի վայր ժամանած ոստիկանները սպանել են հարձակվողին։

Իրավապահ մարմիններում հեռուստաալիքի աղբյուրները հայտնել են, որ Ռամոսը դպրոց գնալուց առաջ կրակել է տատիկի վրա։ Տեխասի հանրային անվտանգության վարչությունը հայտնել է, որ կինը հոսպիտալացվել է ծանր վիճակում:

ԱՄՆ նախագահ Ջո Բայդենը միջադեպից հետո ամերիկացիներին կոչ է արել դիմակայել զենքի լոբբիին։ Բայդենը հիշեցրել է, որ 2012 թվականից  ի վեր ԱՄՆ-ում ավելի քան 900 զանգվածային կրակոցներ են եղել։
