Սիրիայում ռուսական զորախմբին գրեթե ռազմական առաջադրանք չի մնացել, «ցամաքում» զորքերի թիվը որոշվում է կոնկրետ առաջադրանքներով, որոշումը, թե քանի հոգանոց զորք պետք է լինի Սիրիայում, հիմնված կլինի նպատակահարմարության սկզբունքի վրա, հայտարարել է ՌԴ ԱԳ նախարար Սերգեյ Լավրովը՝  RT Arabic-ին տված հարցազրույցում:

Նրան հարցրել են, թե արդյոք Սիրիայում ռուսական զորքերի թիվը պահպանվո՞ւմ է։

«Զորքերի թիվը տեղում որոշվում է կոնկրետ խնդիրներով, որոնք մեր խումբն այնտեղ է լուծում: Պարզ է, որ գործնականում ռազմական առաջադրանքներ չեն մնացել, այլ միայն կայունության և անվտանգության ապահովումը։ Այն ռազմական խնդիրներից, որոնք սիրիական բանակն ուղղակիորեն լուծում է մեր աջակցությամբ, Իդլիբն է, որտեղ ահաբեկչական սպառնալիքը ոչ մի տեղ չի անհետացել, այն պահպանվել է», - պատասխանել է նախարարը։ 

«Մենք Սիրիայի ղեկավարությունից ոչ մի դիմում չունենք, եթե նման որոշումները նպատակահարմար համարվեն, դրանք կիրականացվեն»,- հավելել է Լավրովը։

Նա նշել է, որ Թուրքիան Սիրիայում փորձում է «իրականացնել այն, ինչի շուրջ պայմանավորվել էին նախագահներ Վլադիմիր Պուտինը և Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանը մի քանի տարի առաջ», սակայն «ինչպես բոլորս տեսնում ենք, ամեն ինչ լավ չի ընթանում»։

«Այս խնդիրը մնում է օրակարգում: Բայց վերջերս, շնորհիվ մեր զորախմբի և սիրիական զինված ուժերի ձեռնարկած միջոցների, մենք Իդլիբից սադրանքներ չենք նկատում սիրիական բանակի դիրքերի և Սիրիայում մեր բազաների վրա», - ասել է Լավրովը:
