«Հայաստան» դաշինքն իր ֆեյսբուքյան էջում շնորհավորական ուղերձ է հղել Հանրապետության օրվա առթիվ.
«Հարյուրամյակների ծանր փորձություններից և անղեկ նավարկություններից հետո 104 տարի առաջ` 1918 թ․ մայիսի 28-ին, Հայ ժողովուրդը վերահաստատեց անկախություն ունենալու իր կամքը՝ այն ամրագրելով Հայաստանի Հանրապետության ստեղծման մասին Հայոց ազգային խորհրդի հայտարարությամբ։
Մայիսի 28–ը Հայաստանի Հանրապետության հիմնադրման օրն է և, անհերքելիորեն, Հայոց պատմության շրջադարձային էջ: Այն հնարավոր դարձավ Սարդարապատում, Բաշ Ապարանում և Ղարաքիլիսայում թուրքական բանակի դեմ տարած մայիսյան հաղթանակներով։
Ցեղասպանությունից ընդամենը երեք տարի անց հայ ժողովրդի վճռական կամքով, միասնականությամբ և համազգային զորաշարժով և, անշուշտ, օրվա քաղաքական ու ռազմական ղեկավարության բացառիկ նվիրումի, խորատեսության և զոհողությունների գնով կասեցվեց հայ ժողովրդին վերջնականապես բնաջնջելու թուրքական ծրագիրը։ Արևելյան Հայաստանի փոքր մի հատվածի և Ցեղասպանությունից մազապուրծ հայ ժողովրդի մնացորդացի վրա վերընձյուղվեց Հայոց պետականությունը։
Մենք բոլորս՝ իբրև ինքնություն, իբրև կազմակերպված ազգ և հավաքականություն, սերում ենք Մայիսի 28-ից, մենք Մայիսի 28-ով կերտված Հայաստանի առաջին հանրապետության ժառանգորդն ենք, մեր հավաքական հաղթանակների և պարտությունների պատասխանատուն։
Այսօր, երբ Հայոց պետականության ընթացքն անդառնալի կորուստներ է արձանագրում, երբ գնալով խորանում են հայ ժողովրդին ուղղված սպառնալիքները, երբ հայ ժողովուրդը դարձյալ գոյաբանական խնդրի առջև է կանգնած, Մայիսի 28-ի դասերն ավելի քան զորեղ են հնչում ու մեզ պարտադրում համախմբվել հանուն համաժողովրդական, միասնական պայքարի, հանուն Արցախի փրկության, հանուն Հայոց պետականության կազմալուծման կասեցման, հանուն մեր ազգային արժանապատվության ու համերաշխության վերականգնման։ Օրհասական է պահը։ Մենք պատասխանատու ենք մեր նախնիների առջև և պարտք` ապագա սերունդներին։
