Ալբանիայում շարունակվում է Եվրոպայի ծանրամարտի առաջնությունը, որին մասնակցում են նաև Հայաստանի ներկայացուցիչները:
 
Երեկ՝ հունիսի 2-ին, Հայաստանի տղամարդկանց հավաքականի կազմում մրցահարթակ են դուրս եկել 89 կգ քաշայիններ Անդրանիկ Կարապետյանը և Վարդան Մանուկյանը: Կարապետյանը երկամարտի 365 կգ (174+191) արդյունքով զբաղեցրել է 5-րդ հորիզոնականը: Պոկում վարժությունում նա երկու մոտեցմամբ գլխավերևում պահել է 174 կգ ծանրաձողն ու փոքր արծաթե մեդալ նվաճել: Հրում վարժությունում Կարապետյանը ձախ ծնկի վնասվածք է ստացել, ինչի արդյունքում հաջող է կատարել միայն առաջին մոտեցումը՝ 191 կգ:
 
Հայաստանի մյուս ներկայացուցիչ Վարդան Մանուկյանը, որն առաջին անգամ էր մասնակցում Եվրոպայի առաջնությանը, պոկում վարժությունում հաջողությամբ կատարել է միայն առաջին մոտեցումը՝ գլխավերևում ֆիքսելով 160 կգ կշռող ծանրաձողը: Երկրորդ և երրորդ մոտեցմամբ նա ձախողել է 165 կգ-ի բարձրացումը: Հրում վարժությունում Մանուկյանը զրո է ստացել՝ երեք մոտեցմամբ էլ չկարողանալով բարձրացնել 200 կգ ծանրաձողը, և լքել է պայքարը:
 
89 կգ քաշային կարգում Եվրոպայի չեմպիոնի տիտղոսը նվաճել է Իտալիան ներկայացնող Անտոնիո Պիացոլան երկամարտի 392 կգ արդյունքով (175+217): Նա 217 կգ արդյունքով աշխարհի ռեկորդ է սահմանել հրում վարժությունում:
 
Հայաստանի կանանց հավաքականի կազմում էլ երեկ մրցահարթակ դուրս եկած Տաթև Հակոբյանը (76 կգ) պոկում վարժությունում փոքր բրոնզե մեդալ է նվաճել՝ գլխավերևում պահելով 104 կգ ծանրաձողը, սակայն հրում վարժությունը ձախողել է և երկամարտում անմասն է մնացել մեդալից:
 
Այս քաշային կարգում չեմպիոնի կոչումը նվաճել է Ֆրանսիայի ներկայացուցիչ Մարի Ժոզեֆ Ֆեգուեն՝ երկամարտի 245 (110+135) կգ արդյունքով։
 
Այսօր՝ հունիսի 3-ին, մրցահարթակ դուրս կգան 96 կգ քաշային ծանրորդներ Դավիթ Հովհաննիսյանն ու Արա Աղանյանը: Նրանց մրցելույթները կմեկնարկեն Երևանի ժամանակով 22:00-ից:
