Հայաստանում և արտերկրում հեղինակություն վայելող մի քանի տասնյակ անձինք, գործարարներ և տնտեսագետներ, Ռուսաստանում, Միացյալ Նահանգներում և այլուր գործունեություն ծավալող մարդիկ օրեր առաջ դիմել էին գործող վարչախմբին` պահանջելով շուտափույթ ազատ արձակել «ԱՐԱՐ» հիմնադրամի համահիմնադիր, հասարակական-քաղաքական գործիչ Ավետիք Չալաբյանին։
 
Հայտարարությանը միացած անձինք փաստում էին՝ Ավետիք Չալաբյանի նկատմամբ քննչական մարմինների ներկայացրած մեղադրանքի բովանդակությունը և հանգամանքները, դատարանի կողմից նրա կալանավորման որոշումը շատերի համար թե՛ Հայաստանում, և թե՛ սփյուռքում, մեղմ ասած, կասկածելի են և անընդունելի:
 
Երաշխավորել են նաև, որ Ավետիք Չալաբյանը ոչ միայն վտանգ չի ներկայացնում մեր երկրի և ժողովրդի համար, այլև նրա պես մարդկանց ներկայությունը մեր կյանքում հույս է ներշնչում, որ մենք կարող ենք ունենալ որակապես և բարոյապես այլ Հայաստան:
 
Հայտարարությունը ստորագրողների ցանկում մեծամասամբ այնպիսի անձինք են, որ յուրաքանչյուր երկիր կերազեր այդպիսի կադրեր ունենալ, օգտագործել նրանց և Ավետիք Չալաբյանի ներուժը հանուն պետության բարգավաճման։ Փաշինյանական վարչախումբը, իհարկե, յուր բարոյական ու որակական նկարագրին հավատարիմ, չէր կարող անսալ այս մարդկանց հորդորին։
 
Վարչախումբն ամենամեծ ու իրական վտանգը տեսնում է մտածող մարդկանցից, կյանքում սեփական ուժերով հաջողությունների հասած և մեծ հեղինակություն վայելողներ անձանցից։
 
Եվ իզուր չէ, որ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի գրպանային դատարանը նախ կալանավորեց Ավետիք Չալաբյանին, ապա և մերժեց նրան ազատելու վերաբերյալ բոլոր երաշխավորագրերը։
 
Փոխարենը, փաշինյանական վարչախումբը կխրախուսի հանրության ամենացածր կերպարներին, անմեղ մարդկանց վրա գործ սարքող, կեղծ ցուցմունք գրողներին։
 
Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը բնազդաբար չի կարող հանդուրժել, օրինակ, ABBYY ընկերության հիմնադիր Դավիթ Յանին, կրթության ոլորտի առաջատար մասնագետներ Փախչանյաններին, պրոդուսեր Արթուր Ջանիբեկյանին, այլ նմանատիպ անձանց։ Իշխանությանը դեգրադացված, անհաջողակ, անկիրթ եւ խեղճ հասարակություն է հարկավոր, որին պետք է զրկել ուղենիշներից։
 
Իսկ Ավետիք Չալաբյանն ու իր ընկերները որակի նշան են, իրենց համար անհասանելի։ Ուստի և, բնավ պետք չէ զարմանալ հասարակական-քաղաքական գործչի կալանավորումից։
