Ավետիք Չալաբյանը կշարունակի մնալ կալանավորված։ Օրերս վերաքննիչ քրեական դատարանը՝ դատավոր Արմեն Դանիելյանի նախագահությամբ, մերժեց Ավետիք Չալաբյանի նկատմամբ կալանավորումը որպես խափանման միջոց ընտրելու մասին որոշման դեմ պաշտպանների բողոքը՝ անփոփոխ թողնելով առաջին ատյանի դատարանի որոշումը։

Մշակութաբան Գագիկ Գինոսյանը Չալաբյանի դեմ սկսված հետապնդումը ծիծաղելի է համարում. «Ավետիք Չալաբյանին երկար տարիներ ճանաչում եմ և բախտ եմ ունեցել նաև աղջկան դպրոցում դասավանդելու, իրեն նաև որպես ծնող ճանաչելու։ Եզակի մտավորական հայ տեսակ է, եզակի մաքրությամբ մարդ, ինչը նաև իր երեխայի մեջ է երևում։ Չալաբյանն ու իր կինը՝ Անահիտ Ադամյանը, Ազգային երգի-պարի ակադեմիայի աջակիցներից են եղել, կինը նաև եղել է հոգաբարձուների խորհրդի անդամ։ Եվ բացի ազգային մշակույթին աջակցելուց, սատարելուց, ես որևէ բան չեմ նկատել, որ կարող է ինձ ենթադրության բերել, որ նա կարող է կաշառքով զբաղվել։ Ինձ համար, գոնե, ծիծաղելի է այս ամենը։ Լինելով մշակութաբան՝ ուսումնասիրում եմ նաև ազգային, մարդկային հոգեբանություն և ուղղակի վստահ եմ, որ չեմ կարող սխալված լինել նրա հոգեբանության մեջ, որովհետև մարդկանց ավելի քան ճանաչում եմ, և դա տասնամյակների փորձառություն է».- 1or.am-ի հետ զրույցում ասաց մշակութաբանը։

Գինոսյանը վստահ է՝ Չալաբյանի կալանավորումն ուղղակի բերան փակելու, լռեցնելու միջոց է. «Տարօրինակորեն լռեցնում են ոչ թե ճամարտակներին, հայհոյախառն խոսողներին, այլ այն մարդկանց, ովքեր իրենց անբիծ կենսագրությամբ և շատ տրամաբանված, խելամիտ խոսքով կարող են ժողովրդին համոզել ինչ-ինչ հարցերում։ Թերևս խնդիրը հենց սա է, որ Չալաբյանը մյուսների նման «նիկոլ» հայհոյող չէ, այլ ազգային խնդիրների շատ հստակ և հզոր տրամաբանությամբ տաղանդավոր վերլուծաբան է։ Դա ուղղակի սարսափ է տարածում, որովհետև հայհոյողի դեմ կարելի է հայհոյել, բայց Չալաբյանը ոչ միայն կենսագրության մեջ ինչ-որ խոցելի դրվագ չունի, այլև տրամաբանված վերլուծական մտքեր է արտահայտում, ինչը, իսկապես, սարսափելի է օրվա իշխանության համար։ Եվ այդ մտքերի դեմ միակ հակափաստարկը պարզապես լռեցնելն է, և Չալաբյանի կալանավորման գաղտնիքը հենց դրանում է»։
